The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, March 13

It's almost time for your weekly dose of chaos, madness, and debauchery. First though, St. Patrick's Day is almost here and we have some fun facts for ya! Fun Fact #1: Did you know that the color green became associated with St. Patrick's Day during the 19th century? Green, in Irish legends, was worn by fairies and immortals, and also by people to encourage their crops to grow. (In John's case, Marijuana.) Fun Fact #2: John does not wear green on St. Patrick's day because he hopes some 19-year old with a Grandpa Fetish will pinch him on the ass. Fun Fact #3. Susan will be dying her pubes green in honor of St. Patrick's Day.

Oh man. Tonight is going to be one FIERCE show. You DON'T want to miss it, trust me. Before we go over the line-up, I want to remind you that you are invited to come out and celebrate our One-Year Birthday Party for 107.3 FM and FCCFREERADIO! We will be broadcasting LIVE from the event so come on down, say hello, and get some air time and great drinks. The party is at TONIC BAR at Polk St. and Union in San Francisco THIS Friday night, March 19th. We would love to see your shining, smiling, drunk faces. The fun starts at 5 pm until about 10.

Starting off the festivities, we will be speaking with Dave Hyden. Dave Hyden is a Cincinnati local comedian and actor who regularly performs his smart, cynical comedy at Go Bananas. He has starred in many commercials including "Free Doritos – Snow globe throwing office worker," which was voted Superbowl XLIII’s number one commercial by USA Today, MSNBC, and YouTube.

Next, we are VERY excited to have a SF Bay Area local comedy veteran and San Francisco favorite on the program. Joe Klocek has become one of San Francisco's most unique comics. With a razor-sharp wit that he uses to 'work the crowd', Joe is in high demand at clubs and corporate functions. Raised in the midwest but now a confirmed San Francisco resident, Joe brings a refreshing look at life through the eyes of a class clown who read too much. Joe was featured on Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham" and NBC's "Last Comic Standing." He is also a regular Headliner at the San Francisco Punchline, where he created and hosted the wildly popular "Get It!? A Stand-up Comedy Game Show". Joe has graced the stage at the prestigious Comedy Day at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, was a runner up in the 2003 S.F. International comedy competition, and a Finalist in the 2004 Seattle Comedy Competition. Joe teaches a workshop to comedians at the San Francisco Comedy College called "Riffing 101 Workshop with Joe Klocek". (I took the class myself and it's fantastic--beneficial for both new and veteran comedians.)

Fun Fact about Joe: Did you know that Susan Maletta is a fan of Joe Klocek and that he is one of her Top 5 Favorite Bay Area Comedians?! That's kind of a big deal. Joe is absolutely hysterical and one of the most talented comedians in the business today. To miss out on one of his shows is to miss out on a night full of laughs. Why do that?

Another Fun Fact about Joe: Did you know that Joe Klocek will be appearing with the famous and hilarious Dom Irrera at the SF Punchline from Thursday, March 25th through Saturday, March 27th? Well now you know.

Yet Another Fun Fact about Joe (possibly the most fun of all facts): Did you know that Susan Maletta once asked Joe Klocek to autograph her boobie and he obliged? (Let's just say it required him to write in a very large font size.)

Next up on the JMP...we have the lovely and talented Kristee Ono joining us in the studio! Yay!!! Kristee lives for fun, grabbing the mic to awkwardly over-share every element of her life. She plays around the City and can be spotted at Club Deluxe, the Purple Onion, and the Dark Room. Kristee is also host to "The Ladies Room" show, which is the only all-ladies open mic, every Wednesday night at the Brainwash Cafe in San Francisco. Come check out Kristee Ono at the Galeria de la Laughter this St. Patrick's Day at 800 Mission.

Now are you ready for your weekly dose of wildness? Hope so because local troublemaker, wild man, and funny man BUTCH ESCOBAR will be back on the show tonight!

Butch Escobar hosts a kick-ass monthly showcase at the San Jose Improv on the 4th Wednesday of every month called “Butch Escobar’s Unfiltered Underground.” Butch also has hosted and featured in Big Al’s Big Ass Comedy Show, another great show you can catch at the Improv. You can see Butch perform at other great venues around the South Bay and it’s a guarantee that any of the shows he’s involved in is going to be a great time. Butch is great—he tells it like it is and does not censor himself by any means. And, it’s a well known fact, we’re all about not censoring yourself on the JMP. We can’t wait to talk about anything and everything with him.

Now grab a bar of Irish Spring and wash that ass real nice because we want you all clean and ready for us!

Tune in!
