The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, Feb. 27

Well it's been raining outside but Inside it's raining comedians! Hallelujah! It's raining comedians! Amen! We're gonna go do some radio and let ourselves get ab-so-lutely soa-king wet!

Always the class clown (and spending most of his formative years in the principal's office), Rob Brackenridge was destined to become a comedian. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Rob has been based out of Los Angeles since 1992 and spends most of the year on the road, "bringing the funny" to audiences around the world. He tours regularly for the U.S. troops on the Miller Lite "Lite Laffs" program, and his television credits include Comedy Central's “Make Me Laugh” and “Stand-Up, Stand-Up”. He is a favorite at the Improv, the Comedy Store, and Catch a Rising Star.

Simone Campbell has been keeping people laughing with her rapid-fire wit and in-your-face approach. Legendary lesbian comic, Karen Ripley describes her as "exciting, energetic, full of life. She warms the audience up to each other. Not an easy thing to do. Killer smile." Simone performs all over the San Francisco bay area at places such as Harveys, the Russian River Inn, and the White Horse Inn.

Ryan Cronin is a Bay Area comedian who is a regular at the SFCC Clubhouse and was a finalist in the 2007 and 2009 Battle of the Bay Stand-Up Competitions. He is currently a member of “The Stand Up Project” and a cast member of the online broadcast at “AnimalTrash.com”. He has also been involved in the professional theatrical and independent film communities of the Bay Area and Central Coast over the past ten years. http://www.insidebayarea.com/oaklandtribune/localnews/ci_13839159?source=email

Anita Drieseberg is an animator, illustrator, writer, comedian, and now record producer! She is one of the founders of Left Coast Comedy, who's new "San Francisco Blabity Bleh - 14 HOT Bay Area Comics" can be found on iTunes. She'll be performing at The White Horse in Oakland on Sunday night, Feb 28 at 8pm.

Growing up in Vernon, British Columbia, the epitome of small-town Canada, Richard Kiss has lived in Vancouver, Los Angeles, and the San Francisco Bay area. While a mathematics graduate student at UCLA, Richard dabbled in stand-up as a member of the UCLA Comedy Club and performed in several shows. He took a hiatus for a decade, and resumed performing in November of 2004. Richard has performed in shows in a variety of locations including Rooster T. Feathers and the San Jose Improv.

Whether it's the light-hearted and goofy side of life, or the dark and mundane, chances are Dan Wilson will find a way to put a humorous twist on the topic. Dan's comedy is a no-holds-barred look at everything from politics and pop culture, to relationships and his own family life. Being a native of the San Francisco Bay Area has given his comedy a diverse edge with a unique viewpoint that few other comedians share. Mix his personal take on the world with a high-energy delivery that few are able to match, and you get an explosive look at the world through the eyes of one of the most entertaining performers to come out of the bay area in many years.

Dan makes his home in the East Bay, and is a regular performer at some of the biggest clubs around Northern California. Dan recently taped an episode of Creepy KOFY movie time that aired on January 23rd on KOFY TV 20, Cable 13. Dan also had a small cameo role in the movie "The Snake", which featured at the SXSW Film Festival and the Sundance Film Festival. It is now available on Netflix, Itunes, and Amazon.com. You can catch Dan Wilson on Thursday, March 4th at Rooster T. Feather's with Ian Bagg.

Yeah we're runnin' a little bit hot tonight...I can barely see the road from the heat comin' off...You know what I'm sayin'...Ahhh...so reach down...in between your legs...n' ease the seat back...

Then tune in!

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, Feb. 20

Take a break from the winter Olympics for some REAL entertainment. REAL RAUNCHY entertainment, that is! Hollaaaa! Woot Woot! Tonight we bring you the NASTY OLYMPICS! Who will take home the Gold for being the nastiest guest on our show tonight? And I don't mean the Gold Medal...no! Our guests will be competing for the very prestigious Golden Shower, the Silver Pube, or the John's Bronze.

First up, we welcome the very talented and beautiful Iranian comedian, Nadine Rajabi! Currently, you can watch Nadine on Showtime’s "Hot Tamales Live", "The Skinny: Fat Free News" on MySpace TV and Hulu, and on The National Lampoon College Network where she has her own weekly half-hour show ("XM Underground" and "Press Pass") that syndicates to dorm rooms everywhere. You can also hear her on XM Satellite Radio (channel 154) on National Lampoon Comedy Radio ("Nadine @ Nite") Monday through Friday (6 pm - 9 pm), where she conducts celebrity interviews and shares her pop culture know-it-all-ness to the XM world.

Nadine’s other TV, radio, and writing credits include national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, Daddy’s Girls, TVgasm.com (current), Zazreport (current), weekly celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon (current) and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio (current).

Ronn Vigh, so-sexy-it’s-difficult-to-not-jump-his-bones-while-he’s-on-stage, brings his unique brand of comedy to clubs, colleges, and airport lavatories all over the world. His brash attitude and acerbic wit have earned him a comparison to a young Joan Rivers by SF Weekly. Well, if she were male, gay, and didn’t shoot Botox by the pound. He was featured on NBC’s Last Comic Standing II and in 2005 founded and still co-produces the successful “Harvey’s Funny Tuesday’s” weekly comedy show at Harvey’s in the Castro District of San Francisco. No stranger to the comedy and alternative scene, he recently hosted Palm Springs Pride, headlined the Lake Tahoe Gay & Lesbian WinterFest, 10th Annual Michigan ComedyFest, and the list goes on and on and on--much like when Ronn speaks.

His one man show, 98 Pounds of Fury, enjoyed a successful run, appeared in the Off-Broadway smash hit 10 Naked Men, recently hosted coverage for the SF GLBT Pride Parade and gained much attention for a controversial off-the-cuff comment about bisexuals. He’s played Joan Rivers at Comedy Noir’s Jesus Roast, a gay Elvis Presley in a Vegas.com commercial, and a science geek in a Magrack ad displayed in NYC subways. Needless to say, he’s versatile (in many ways). He’s been heard on the radio waves and a frequent contributor to shows such as "Fernando & Greg" on Energy 92.7FM, Shake Radio on 960 AM, The Quake and Live 105’s KGAY Weekend in San Francisco. He currently reports, and was featured in, the New York Times for his "Weekly Show" on Vidsf.com. His biggest accomplishment to date: working as a flight attendant and he never smothers any of his passengers with a pillow.

Cody Woods is a comedian that does comedy sometimes. He is based in the San Francisco Bay Area and is being black balled in the comedy industry. If you would like to see Cody perform, just find him on Facebook at: facebook.com/i.have.balls.of.gold so you can find a gig near you that he will not be getting booked at. His material is performed mainly in a topical and intimate style and is pretty edgy. Cody Woods also runs a shithole comedy venue on Stanford campus called the "750 Pub", where comics have the privilege of being enjoyed by people who will be making up to $450,000 within the next two years and happen to be the same type of people that comics often gawked at in high school. Cody Woods is also very articulate and his vocabulary is often filled with prestigious words like "gawk" and "high school". Cody Woods is part Irish and once had a dog.

To end the night right, we bring you more joy. And some pain. Tony Sparks and Kaseem Bentley are coming to the studio! Kaseem Bentley is the Bay Area's number one insult comic and Tony Sparks, known to all in the SF area as the Father of SF Comedy, is one of the nicest and funniest comedians you can meet. He's also one of the best comedy hosts you could be entertained by. Wonderfully supportive to comics of all levels (newbies to veterans), he helps make stage time available to anyone who wants it. Tony Sparks is a class act when it comes to professionalism, supporting the comedy community, and bringing non-stop laughs and fun to us all. He hosts a hugely popular open mic in the SF bay area, the famed Brain Wash CafĂ© in San Francisco. This is where NO ONE gets turned down for stage time. Tony enlists the entire audience, every week, to welcome every new comedian with “A Lot of Love!!!” What? "A LOT OF LOVE!!!!!!" Tony Sparks can also be found performing comedy and hosting shows all over the place, and he produces, promotes, and/or hosts several shows including Speech Therapy Comedy at Il Pirata, All-Star Comedy and More at The SF Playhouse, Street Legal Comedy at Pissed Off Pete's, and Raw Comedy Night at Poleng Lounge.

Now get ready for the Nasty Olympics! It's much like the Special Olympics, but for the Personal-Boundary-Challenged.

Tune in!

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, Feb. 13

Huge thanks to our guests last week--Kevin Munroe, Colleen Watson, Bob Johnston, Dr. Brian King, Chantel Williams, and Coree Spencer for spending yet another incredibly fun Saturday night with us filled with laughter and chaos. Catch the sizzling replay on http://www.fccfree.com/ by clicking "Last Show" before it goes away!

Just a little update...our radio transmitter has been moved to a new and better location and now FCCFREERADIO 107.3 FM can be heard ALL OVER San Francisco, LOUD and CLEAR BABY!!!

Now. Without further ado...

First up on the JMP...we are thrilled to have Will Franken back on the show. Franken’s humor is rooted in the British sketch comedy tradition. Onstage, he portrays an eclectic mix of characters through a series of interconnected vignettes. His skits are often satirical, skewering a range of subcultures and political views. In 2005, the SF Weekly selected Franken as Best Comedian, the San Francisco Bay Guardian calls him the Best Alternative to Psychedelic Drugs, and Tribe.net named him one of the Top 25 People to Watch nationwide.

Next up, regulars and favorites of the JMP...Kurt Weitzmann and Howard Stone!

Kurt Weitzmann has been performing comedy for over 15 years and his act has been seen on Comedy Central, MTV, and on the stages of every San Francisco comedy club ever to come or go. Kurt Weitzmann created, edited, and produced the ingenious "SF Weakly", a highly celebrated parody of the SF Weekly, for which he was labeled a comic genius by non other than The SF Weekly. Kurt Weitzmanns comedy sketch album TALENTED is now available on AMERICAN DREAMS RECORDS. Kurt is also the producer of the new hit film "Last Call" and co-creator of the very popular and funny "Jesus Roast" and "Hitler Roast". Kurt is also a regular performer at the SF Punchline.

From the very moment Howard Stone enters the stage, hooting and hollering, you know you're in for a special treat. As a single dad with a gruff exterior but a heart of pure gold, Stone spouts alternative family values with edge and irony. He proudly extols the importance of ether as a viable tool for child rearing while launching effortlessly into tirades about pop culture, commercialism and the absurdities of life. Howard has featured in the “Jesus Roast” and “Hitler Roast”, and “The Uncle Howard Show” and performs all over the bay area.

Next up-- we have SQweeks!

Comedian Sqweeks Morales is a sexy lil' stand-up comic who runs several popular shows in the south bay area. She runs "Comedy Empire", "Up in Smoke", Ladies Night Comedy Show at So. First Billiards, the Look-Out Bar and Grill, and "Slanted Comedy" at the San Jose Improv.

And finally, we have Sam Davidoff making his debut on our show!

Sam Davidoff's career innocently began when he did a show for his temple at age 14. Right after he got off stage he realized that he loved doing comedy and that temple was boring. Ever since then, he has performed at many venues all over the bay area, spreading knowledge of his own wiley adolescence. Sam also has a growing fan base on Facebook and enjoys sharing highlights of his stints from the bay area. As one of San Francisco's youngest bay area comedians, Sam brings a fresh, funny, and adolescent bird's eye view of the world to the comedy scene. While Sam is quite youthful, his wisdom is way beyond his years. Warning: Some material may not be suitable for audiences under 18. (Oh, and he is still 16.)

Now rest your worried hearts, I won't let anything happen to the kid under my watch. I will shield him as much as possible from any and all harmful influences! (Remember, I am a mom.)

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, Feb. 6

Awww yeahhhh. Throw your hands up in the air and wave them around like you just don’t care! Or, put your hands in your lap and play with yourself until you take a nap! (We don’t give a crap.)

Look here, you. This week on the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta...more fun and thrills. Remember, this show is the one where the comedians come to completely relax and unwind, be themselves, and say ANYTHING they want. And they Do Say Anything and Everything. This show is completely uncensored. This show should be called The W.T.M.I. Show. (The Way Too Much Information Show.)

Do you know what that means? Oh Lordee! It means that we pump them full of alcohol before they take the mics! Ohh Yeah! Then, they say things they wouldn't normally say. And THEN some! You see, we have a knack for making comedians feel at ease. Maybe it's because we are so goddamn charming. I don't know. And then, when they start feeling all comfortable, they start being more "open" to talking about things, like their personal lives and their genitals and other cool shit. If you listen long enough, you just might hear something ohhh so very private, exciting, and (enter evil laugh here) SCANDALOUS! So don't miss out on John and Susan and their deliciously funny guests.

And now...coming to the microphones...some sober...some not so sober...most on antidepressants of some sort...our line-up of comedians.

First up, we have our good friend and a regular on the show...Kevin Munroe!

Kevin Munroe is a very tall and very funny comedian. Did you know that Kevin is also a talented singer? I learned that on karaoke night one time. Listening to him reminds you of a lazy, tropical beach and one very, VERY potent tropical drink. Kevin is a favorite in the SF comedy scene. Kevin was part of the "Over Six Feet of Funny" troupe and also produced the long running “Ebony and Irony” show. He's an amazing talent and also just a really cool person. You can catch Kevin at all the major comedy clubs in the area and he makes regular appearances at the SF Punchline and the Purple Onion.

Colleen Watson will be joining us next. Colleen is a stand-up comic and writer in the Bay Area. She has performed at many venues throughout the area including the San Jose Improv, Tommy Ts, Rooster T Feathers, the Tacoma Comedy Underground and many more. Her style incorporates stories from her life as well as the retarded way she tries to deal with them. You can catch Colleen (as well as Susan Maletta...HEY-OH!) this Sunday night in the hilarious show "Bubbles' Beauties" at the Campbell Theatre in Martinez.

Next up we are getting into some mischief with Sean Sinha!

Sean Sinha was destined in life to be a Little Rascal, but was born far too late for this to happen. Instead, he chose the life of seediness and back alley microphone tricking that is stand-up comedy. Sean runs a bi-weekly comedy show at Mission Pizza in Fremont along with keeping up a frantic pace of doing shows all over California. Sean feels that solid hosting is one of the most important aspects of a great comedy show, which is why you will often find him hosting various shows around the SF Bay Area. Sean recently hosted Doug Benson's pre-DVD taping show at San Jose State.

And finally, another regular and favorite on the JMP, we bring you joy and laughter via Bob Johnston!

Bob Johnston is a high-energy comic who grew up in a small town, and has been called “the only Redneck in the Bay Area.” (Ummm....I guess they never met John.) :) Bob does a great job morphing blue-collar comedy with the high tech world and skips easily from topics such as baldness to ex-girlfriends to traffic problems. Getting his start in the East Bay/Oakland area helped Bob earned the title of “the blackest non-black comic.” Bob has opened for The Stylistics, Richard Lewis, Bruce Bruce, Tony Rock, Mary Ellen Hooper, Lavelle Crawford, and Sherman Helmsley (aka George Jefferson). Bob has performed at The Improv, the Punchline, the Comedy Store, and many more.

Now go get in the tub, scrub-a-dub-dub, stroke yer chub, then tune in!
