The John Miller Program with Candy Churilla, Sunday September 2

The John Miller Program with Candy Churilla, Sunday September 2

Big thanks to Yayne Abeba, John Brown, Big Al Gonzales, Jane Haze and Eric Schwartz for appearing on the show last week. If you missed it, listen to the archived episode at

Our first guest this Sunday is comedian Rob Brackenridge. Rob tours regularly for the U.S. troops and his television credits include Comedy Central's Make Me Laugh and Stand-Up, Stand-Up. He is a favorite at the Improv, the Comedy Store, and Catch a Rising Star.

Actress/model/John Miller’s dream girl, Holly Eglinton is an anchorwoman on Naked News, and has appeared in various states of undress in movies and television shows, such as That One Night, Postal, Blade: The Series, and Reefer Madness: The Movie Musical.

John DeKoven is a comedian and comedy show producer. His Laugh-A-Lot Productions specializes in booking comedians and producing shows for restaurants, bars, hotels, non-profit fundraisers, corporate events and private parties. Laugh-A-Lot Productions produces an average of five shows a week featuring some of the best comedians in the country, like our next guest, the unfairly handsome Ben Feldman.
Feldman, a favorite of the JMP, is hated by most comics because he’s not only incredibly wealthy, but has been voted (by me) as the Bay Area’s funniest comic. Ben created the monthly comedy show Ben Feldman’s Laugh Orgy, which happens the second Wednesday of every month at San Francisco’s Grant & Green Saloon.

The John Miller Program with Candy Churilla (8/26)

Our first guest is Eric Schwartz, aka Smooth-E. He's the guy in your office with a secret life as a superstar.

It’s hard to hide such a rare talent, as Schwartz‘s popularity is quickly rising. “Circulating the net faster than the Paris Hilton video” (Jerusalem Post), Smooth-E personifies the fresh-blended creation he is named for. Mixing comedy, music, and viral Internet videos, millions of fans worldwide have begun to "surrender to the blender." Eric has quickly become the most-watched comedian on with over a million views each month.

Defying the boundaries of traditional stand-up, his multimedia appeal has the power to make national headlines. When a story happens in Hollywood, Smooth-E has gained the reputation of delivering hilarious songs and videos seen on by CNN, Fox, "The Tonight Show," E! and more.

Eric's spectacular, character-and-music-driven live show has gained him appearances on "Comics Unleashed," (NBC) “White Boyz in the Hood” (Showtime), BET's "Comic View," “Midnight Money Madness” (TBS), “Trapped in TV Guide (TV Guide Channel), "Latino Laugh Festival" (SiTV), and "Loco Comedy Jam" (Mun2). His voice is heard as DJ on the Wayans Brothers’ new animated show, ”Thugaboo,” and each week as the narrator of the MGM-distributed series, "Animal Atlas."

Click here to check out his myspace page.

Next we'll talk with Larry Thomas, best known for his Emmy-nominated role as the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld. Thomas has appeared in a number of films, TV shows, and commercials, and appears at autograph-signing shows across the country. He has appeared in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, Scrubs, Arrested Development as a Saddam Hussein lookalike. In 2006, Thomas began selling autographed photographs of himself through catalogs such as Wall Street Creations Inc., glaring at the camera in chef's garb, with the handwritten notation "No soup for you!"

John and Candy met Larry at the premiere of Uwe Boll's film Postal, in which Thomas played Osama bin Laden.

Next we'll talk with Bay Area comics Jane Haze and John Brown.

Listen to us chat with comedian Rob Little, who headlines clubs and colleges all over the country, has appeared such shows as Strictly Sex with Dr. Drew, Comedy Central's Distraction, Fox News and SiTV's Latino Laugh Festival. Little dishes on everything from his personal life to comedy club booking practices.

You’ll also hear our talk with Vince Desi, CEO of Running with Scissors, home to Postal the game. We discuss the Postal movie and Vince’s memorable cameo as a giant penis.

Last but certainly not least, is the unfairly handsome, wealthiest, funniest comic in the Bay Area, Ben Feldman. John, Ben, I discussed (mostly dissed) Bay Area comics and the local scene.
