Anthony DeVito is a comedian, actor and writer and a native New Yorker. He performs stand-up, character, and sketch comedy all over New York City in venues like Comix, UCB Theater, and The P.I.T. He acts in national commercials, network television and film, and writes comedy for magazines, stage, and the web. Anthony’s television credits include the Season 4 Premiere of Rescue Me with Denis Leary, NBC's Late Night With Conan O'Brien, and VH1’s Best Week Ever with Paul F. Tompkins. He’s also appeared on A&E, Discovery Channel, VH1’s All Access series and Comedy Central.
Anthony had his film acting debut in the hit comedy from Italy, Natale a New York (Christmas in New York.) He can soon be seen as a co-lead in the independent feature Apostles of Park Slope. He has acted in short comedy films playing a crack-dealing plumber, a Sharpie®-sniffing office drone, a competitive priest, an inappropriately violent cop, and an assassin who works for the lottery commission. His stage credits include NYC’s Manhattan Monologue Slam, the Little Monsters Festival, and the one-act comedy CTRL+ALT+DEL, written and directed by Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien writer Andres du Bouchet. He recently took part in a staged reading of the new play Dear Blacksburg, I’m Dead about the Virginia Tech shootings. Anthony has appeared in commercials for Humira, Caesars Atlantic City, CarMax, Cablevision, NYC.gov, American Express, Price Chopper Stores and Fanta Soda. He's even been in a music video playing a mailman in Bon Jovi's Have A Nice Day.
In addition to conceiving and writing all his own material, Anthony spent three years coming up with new ways to make fun of ugly clothes as one of Us Weekly magazine's most popular Fashion Police. He’s contributed topical jokes to dailycomedy.com, video scripts for RiverWired.com, and humor for Jest Magazine. He also works as a creative consultant, combining his comedy and writing skills with his background in advertising to create ad campaigns, conceptual treatments and funny content for advertising and entertainment brands. Anthony co-created, wrote, appeared in, and edited the web comedy short re:ORG, a heartbreaking story of a bunch of saps who work in an office that's run by evil aliens from outer space, and is currently developing a new sitcom for the web.
Zane Lamprey is a comedian, actor, editor, producer, and writer for television and movies. He grew up in Syracuse, New York and went to school at SUNY Cortland in Cortland, New York where he majored in fine arts and minored in theatre. He has had a varied career in entertainment. Early in his career he worked on several projects for Comedy Central, Girls Gone Wild, VH1 and Nickelodeon. He was also a cast member on MTV's Damage Control and host of VH1's reality show Motormouth. He is best known for hosting Three Sheets, which ran on MOJO HD until through 2008 and now on the Fine Living channel. He also hosts Have Fork, Will Travel, currently running on Food Network, a show similar to Three Sheets focusing on local food and eating customs.
Steve Camaniti was voted Funniest Man in Cincinnati by his peers, Funniest Person in Ohio by Showtime Cable Network, and picked as Best Comedian in Cincinnati by both Cincinnati Magazine and City Beat Magazine. Steve is also a regular visitor on nationally syndicated talk shows, such as Bob & Tom and The Gary Burbank Show, and he was featured in Rolling Stone Magazine’s Comedy Issue. His television appearances include Comedy Central, CBS television’s "48 Hours", Showtime Cable Network, The Nashville Network, A&E, and MTV.
Daymon Ferguson hails from Hell. Or rather, Chico California, where he was born into a white trash tradition that he’s been trying to escape ever since. High school brought the impetus Daymon needed to become a comedian—he announced to his tenth grade drama teacher that he would one day become a stand-up comic. He got right on that, too. A mere twenty years later, here he is! But first he had to take care of a few other careers—Daymon has been a diesel truck mechanic, pizza delivery guy, forklift mechanic, waiter, racecar driver, ditch digger, exotic dancers’ bodyguard, and lawyer. All of which have helped prepare him for a career standing up in front of a bunch of people, telling dick jokes.
Six years of work as a lawyer have taught Daymon to truly despise lawyers. Since making the decision to quit law for comedy, he’s started to feel his soul growing back. It kind of itches. When he’s not in front of a jury or worse, a crowded comedy club, Daymon likes to tempt the fates that have let him live for the last 35 years. He flies small planes, scuba dives, and pretends to be a medieval warrior by putting on 50 pounds of plate metal and running around in the blazing sun getting hit by big men with sticks. He is also an actor, a half-assed guitar player, and an avid wine connoisseur. (But please don’t call him a wine geek—he prefers the far more dignified “cork dork.”) He’ll pay $100 for a bottle of wine. But in beer he is true to his white trash roots—he refuses to spend more than $6 on a 12-pack. Daymon lives in San Jose, California with his lovely wife and baby daughter, his dog, three cats, some fish, and a bunch of fussy, demanding, and emotionally abusive houseplants.
Trevor Hill is also coming to the JMP! After years of joking around with his friends, literally none of them insisted that Trevor bring his talents to the stage. And on a dare, he ended up winning that contest! And the rest is history. Trevor got his start at the world-renowned and internationally respected Mike T. Benatar's Zanie Chuckle Station in Hermosa Beach, CA. This is where he met and shared the stage with such comedy legends as Tito the Entertainer and Jeffy "The Banana Man" Silverstein. After only 2 hours and 45 minutes in the comedy game, Trevor has performed in clubs in SF, LA, NY, H, and also D. He has also performed his family-friendly stylings at all the colleges on earth. His hard hitting comedy touches on such controversial topics as incest, genocide, and Sandra Bullock movies. Trevor is also the co-creator and host of the award-winning comedic game show, "Hey, What's in this Can?" In 2009, he was a semi-quarter finalist in a Comedy Competition. And the rest is history...
Alex Koll is a comedian to the kind of person who likes Alex Koll. In a relatively short time, he has made a name for himself as the King of Import Racing three years running simply by writing "King of Import Racing" in every bathroom he lands in. For a while, he delivered wedding cakes in a Toyota that doubled as a home for an unemployed nuclear lab technician on the weekends. He recently lost his voice, but got it back without even trying. (Alex Koll also performs all over the bay area, regularly at the SF Punchline and Cobbs Comedy Club.)
Dr. Brian King is a comedian who also is a psychologist specializing in Human Sexuality, which always makes for some hilarious and sizzling conversation! Both Dr. Brian and Chantel are San Francisco comedians who run the wildly popular Wharf Room Comedy Stand-Up Showcase at Castagnola's in San Francisco. Dr Brian has led many research projects, written papers, and presented at national conferences regarding his research on s-e-x. Hell, they even let him teach college a few times. He is not a therapist or counselor, but he is an opinionated smart-ass with regular access to a computer. He is also a fan of hip-hop, vodka martinis, and girls that wear skirts in the winter. Oh, and comedy. Dr Brian likes to think he's a comedian.
Chantel Williams started her life of comedy in the back of Buick; just about the time her family travelled across America to move to the great state of Oregon. Always witty and always astute, this young girl turned from street kid to non-famous blogger in a mere 27 years. Mediocre grades in high-school left her with no choice other than to marry her drug dealer boyfriend and shun her small town “Birthplace of U-Haul” for a slightly bigger town across the freeway. In that five years of her life there she gave birth to two ungrateful children, worked in a bowling alley, and drove a 1972 Camaro.It wasn’t long after another failed relationship that Chantel set her sights on the big city of Vancouver, Washington.
It was there that she found her greatest love; drinking red wine alone and in the dark. She moved on quickly from Vancouver to Portland, Oregon where public transportation is a plenty for drunks and where her unfulfilling writing career began. As a writer, she had an unfamous blog where many tens of readers came each day to track her daily drink and pill count. After her mother’s death, Chantel wrote a novel that is still yet unpublished due to its horrific writing and cruel unwarranted rants on racism and gender. A little skill she picked up in the Liberal University she didn’t graduate from. After Chantel’s children came of age she quickly kicked them out of the house and moved to San Francisco with her unemployed boyfriend and needy dog. She found there was never a city in the world as welcome to a racist Liberal as San Francisco. There she started a comedy club so her boyfriend would have legitimate excuses not to do the dishes and she could watch as others climbed ahead of her for fame and fortune. Oh life you cruel bitch!
