Next up...Dizzle!! Sean Dizzle is a wild and high-energy comedian and producer who regularly performs at the San Jose Improv as well as many other venues from here to L.A. He is the producer of the Chicano Kings of Comedy as well as the San Jose Comedy Jam and more. I've been in a couple of his shows and had a great time! He knows how to pack a venue and make sure everyone has fun!

And finally we welcome Stefani Silverman to the program. She is a motorcyle-riding, bad-ass comedian who brings her razor-sharp wit to audiences all over the Bay Area.

Nathan Habib is a stand-up comedian who brings a fresh personality on stage with a burst of energy only comparable to the mintiest mouthwash. He's performed at clubs all over California and has performed with national headliners such as Arj Barker, Rich Vos, and Mark Pitta. Nathan was born in Belgium and raised in Palo Alto, California where he was brought up in a Jewish Israeli household with a Latvian mother, an Italian-raised dad, and two older brothers, which has given him plenty to talk about. He recently graduated from UC Santa Cruz and has been doing comedy since his freshman year of high school. “Habib is able to so deftly illuminate the lack of logic behind many social mores is evidence of his way with words as well as his understanding of what is rational and what clearly isn’t.” – Good Times Weekly

Phil is a hilarious national touring stand-up comedian and writer for the Jay Leno show as well as the George Lopez show. (Not to mention a regular on the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta!) He started with All Comedy Radio in the spring of 2003 and was syndicated on 37+ stations in the United States, 23+ stations in Canada, and one station in South Africa. He is best known for the Hollywood Report "Limited Access", Recurring Sketches: "Interview with a Dead Guy", "Celebrity Sodium Pentothal", "Wisdom of the Ages, with Ceepak Okra", and "Oblivious Witness to History".

In 1990, Phil started writing jokes for Jay Leno for "The Tonight Show" and still to this day writes for Jay. In 1999, Phil started writing for his first Nationally Syndicated radio show "Bob and Tom's Big Show”. In 2001, he began writing for Martin Short and "The Martin Short Show". Ten years after he started writing for Jay Leno, Phil Perrier also started writing for David Letterman "The Late Show". Phil still writes for both shows. Phil has also been a columnist for many newspapers including the L.A. Daily News, Washington Times, San Francisco Examiner, Baltimore Sun, Philadelphia Inquirer, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Birmingham News, JewishWorldReview.com and, last but not least, he was a Staff Writer for the Athens (Ga.) Observer from 1993-2000.

Guests this evening also include Matt Curry and Shiva Khales!

Shiva Khales is one hilarious, wild chick that I knew I liked and got along with right away. She's one of these girls that doesn't give a fuck what she says and keeps it real and loves to party! I love that!!! Shiva performs all over the Bay Area including venues such as Rooster T Feathers in Sunnyvale and the San Jose Improv. In her own words, she is "a girl who suffers from Persian Problems - the next step up from Shiva Problems, extreme A.D.H.D. and Jungle Fever... Oh, and did I mention I'm not a mind reader but I'm kind of psychic?"

Matt Curry and I became friends in a hurry. He is a very funny, clever, and whimsical comedian with a unique laid-back delivery and he makes me laugh hard! And crowds too! Matt performs all over the Bay Area at all the clubs and venues. Aside from being a comedian he is also a teacher, which is good... there are a lot of comedians who need a positive role model around them. I'm not saying he's a positive role model, I'm just saying that comedians need a positive role model around them.
He is best known for the 15 years he spent with KTVU-TV 2/Fox Broadcasting in Oakland, California. Curtis served as Chief Washington D.C. Correspondent from 1993 to 1999; Morning News co-anchor from 1999 to 2007; and as a freelance reporter and political analyst. Curtis is a regular political contributor on KGO-AM 810 and on KGO-TV ABC7's 7 Live program in San Francisco; He also has contributed occasionally on KQED-TV 9, KPIX-TV5, and KRON-TV4 in San Francisco, as well as KTXL-TV Fox 40 News in Sacramento; and KTLA-TV5 in Los Angeles.

Curtis is an occasional newspaper reporter, covering the Inauguration in Washington, D.C. for the Danville Weekly and Pleasanton Weekly in California, as well as writing for his own blog at MarkCurtisMedia.com, which includes his weekly political column, "The Sunday Political Brunch."
Prior to moving to California, Curtis was a TV Correspondent in Washington, D.C. for all stations owned by Cox Broadcasting, including WSB Atlanta, WSOC Charlotte, WFTV Orlando, KIRO Seattle, WPXI Pittsburgh, WHIO Dayton, WKBD Detroit, and KFOX in El Paso. His year-long coverage of the Impeachment of President Bill Clinton earned him a promotion to KTVU as co-anchor of the Morning News. Mark Curtis is a former stand-up comedian who once worked with famed political comedian and fellow Milwaukee native Will Durst. Both men now work and live in the San Francisco Bay Area and still collaborate.

Next up, Eric Steele is back to join us! Born and raised in the Corn Belt, Iowa, Eric Steele has always been into entertainment. At a young age he craved attention and got into trouble for what he thought was funny at school constantly. He was active in speech and drama in high school and any other opportunity that gave him a chance to have a microphone. Eric has been doing comedy for years and takes his life experiences with him. He's an expressive comic meaning he is very animated and expressive with his emotions on stage. Eric believes everything in life can, and should be, laughed at, from his crappy jobs, home in the ghetto, and even his own father's death at a young age. You can catch Eric at many Bay Area clubs as well as every weekend on a local radio station 95.3 KRTY in San Jose. Eric's business card says it perfectly- "Comic, Writer, Golden Voice, and Lover?" Just don't try and find him on myspace, not there anymore. If you want to stalk him do so at www.facebook.com/realdealmanofsteele.

And finally, we are happy to welcome Joe Hughes, who is making his debut on the show! Always outgoing and funny as a kid, Joe started in entertainment with his brother Michael Hughes in the early 1970′s, signing with the Jack Wormser Talent Agency, (now KSR Talent). He has worked on ad capaigns such as Occidental Life, Marriots Hotel, and a documentary that aired in England on BBC television. He studied acting with private acting coach, Lois Auer. Later, Joe participated in drama at Torrance High School under acting coach Charles “Chuck” Slater, received an honorable mention in a So Cal, regional play competition. In 2005, after raising four kids, and owning his own business, Joe returned to entertainment and studied comedy at SF Comedy College with Kurtis Mathews. By 2007, Joe performed on stage, opening before the band, The Loving Spoonful, (“do you believe in magic”). Since then, Joe has performed at such comedy clubs as the San Jose Improv, Sacramento Punchline, Kino’s Komedy in Vancouver B.C., Hollywood Comedy Store, S.F. Comedy Clubhouse, Tommy T’s, Rooster T. Feathers and many more.

Joe has produced and hosted several shows including The April Fools Comedy Competition at the San Jose Corinthian Event Center, “Comedy at the Red Caboose”, “Comedy in the Village” in Capitola and “Comedy Night at the Brit” at Britannia Arms in Aptos. Joe also worked with the original cast and founders of Ron’s Comedy Farmhouse developing “Comedysurf Productions” and “Joe Hughes Presents” comedy and entertainment productions. “When you say you’re too old, that is the moment you are too old… follow your dreams.”

And let's not forget Rob E. Davis AKA Rob. E. Danger, our BELOVED announcer and co-host!
Bernie is a hilarious national touring comedian, public speaker, and corporate humorist, and he's the famous Whiskey Professor! As Whiskey Professor, Bernie speaks and presents for KNOB CREEK and Beam Global Sprits & Wine. He's the celebrity face of the brands for the east coast and presents to national media as well as whiskey and bourbon festivals in Kentucky, New York, Philadelphia, Tampa and Southern Florida, Tennessee, and many other cities. Bernie's also done numerous national/regional television and radio shows, such as The Bob & Tom Show, where he's been a regular guest for more than 12 years (6 million listeners nationwide).

Next up on the JMP, Leslie McMackin is making her debut to the show! Leslie is a very funny and talented lady who produces and performs in various venues across the Bay Area. Most recently, I was glad to be a part of her hugely popular, sold-out show called "Hot Female Comics Bare All" at Stagewerx Theater in San Francisco. We didn't really bare all, but we did bare our dark souls for others' amusement for a couple hours...

Also back for more harassment and/or abuse (giving and/or receiving)...Bronston Jones back!

“Life’s short—I’m not!” isn't just a pun for this 6'7", 240lb, hairy giant; it’s Bronston Jones' motto, mantra, and mission statement, meaning “Tall or small, LIVE LARGER THAN LIFE!” So after a 5-year hiatus directing commercials, Bronston’s back at the mic doing what he loves most—Saying Something without Selling Anything. From coast to coast, he revels in revealing his failings and through his conversational, story-telling style reveals failings we all share while talking about the demented Reality Show called REALITY.

Bronston has rocked comedy clubs and opened for rock bands. He's hosted somber charity events that turned crazy-sexy-fun. He’s done stand-up for Rooftop Comedy and ComedyTime Network, is a regular on radio’s The DAMage Report and acted in TruTV’s “All Worked Up” and charity spots for UNF--KTHEGULF, plus commercials for Nike, Found Magazine, and other things he’d never buy.

Let's not forget Rob E. Davis A.K.A. Rob E. Danger, A.K.A. Our Savior Jesus H. Fucking Christ will be with us!!

Also, more guests, surprises, and distasteful shenanigans are imminent. This Saturday it's OPEN HOUSE for any comic who wants to drop by. Be ready to party.
Kurt's been keeping busy but we're glad to have him back in the studio. Kurt's act has been seen on Comedy Central, MTV, and on the stages of every San Francisco comedy club ever to come or go. Kurt Weitzmann created, edited, and produced the ingenious "SF Weakly", a highly celebrated parody of the SF Weekly, for which he was labeled a comic genius by non other than The SF Weekly. Kurt Weitzmanns comedy sketch album TALENTED is now available on AMERICAN DREAMS RECORDS. Kurt is also the producer of the new hit film "Last Call" and co-creator of the very popular and funny "Jesus Roast" and "Hitler Roast".

Next up we have Cheril Vendetti with us! Cheril Vendetti is a seasoned and much sought after comedienne on America’s comedy circuit, where her bookings keep her on the road for most of the year. When in Los Angeles, she is a regular at the world famous Comedy Store in Hollywood, and recently appeared in the “The Main Room,” a documentary about the club. She received a Clio award for playing an Italian cook in a Foster Farm commercial, and has appeared on HBO’s Real Sex (thankfully, fully clothed). It was on stage at NATPE where talent agent David Tenzer of CAA began to represent Miss Vendetti and her cooking show “I Got Your Recipes..Right Here!!” It was also on that stage where she got to create two TV pilots “The Queen of New Jersey” and “Queen of the Road.” Miss Vendetti also published a comical cookbook, “Mistress of the Mob Cuisine.” She also has some exciting new projects we will be hearing about tonight.

And finally we welcome Sam Bam, making his debut to the show. Hailing from Stockton, California, Sam Bam experienced the usual ups and downs as a teenager trying to make it out of the hood. “I was always a good story teller, one day I just decided to give it a shot and tried stand-up.” His decision to take on comedy was the right one. Starting off in a little room in San Francisco to being seen nationally on television on BET’s Comic View, Sam has made strides in the right direction and continues to never lose sight on the reason why he does comedy. Not only does Sam perform as a comedian, he is also an accomplished event producer. He has produced shows that have brought thousands together and also has gained local media attention. He continues to produce shows including producing and headlining "Sam Bam's Comedy Jam" (Sacramento Punchline and Cobbs) and the “It wasn’t funny then, but it’s funny now” tour.

And let's not forget our dear Lord, Jesus E. Danger Christ. But you can call him "Rob E. Danger" if you're an atheist.
Well it's almost Mother's Day, you Mother F***ers. Welcome to the program. How old school is it that we call it a "program"? What are we.. AA? I don't think so. Especially not tonight because the Birdman's joining us! But first, we welcome back a real gem in the ole' sphincter ring...Phil Perrier!

Phil Perrier is a hilarious national touring stand-up comedian and writer for the Jay Leno show as well as the George Lopez show. (Not to mention a regular on the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta!) He started with All Comedy Radio in the spring of 2003 and was syndicated on 37+ stations in the United States, 23+ stations in Canada, and one station in South Africa.
Next up on this wacky, short-circuited roller coaster ride, a San Jose Improv regular, Jaime "Birdman" Acosta AKA "The Birdman" is joining us. Who's this Birdman you ask? He's just a homie from the pokie. And he has a bird. And y'know what? The bird fuckin' bit me. Yeah! That's right..Polly bit a cracker!! The bird's name is Paco. I call him Dickhead. This bird is one of those big ass birds called the cockatoo. And it's weird that I was bitten by a cockatoo, ..because in my day, I've accidentally bitten a cockertwo...

Don't miss Prison Bedtime Stories by The Birdman. Dare you listen in and see if you can sleep soundly afterwards?
I don't either, but I had a crush on this kid in school when I was in the fourth grade and he had this huge KISS belt buckle. (Since then, I learned from John that nowadays if you see a KISS belt buckle, it's actually a dead dick's tombstone.) Anyway,.. they had this dude in the band named Ace Frehley. He was the one with the big ole' star on his face. So yeah.. lots of people used to go crazy for Ace, so of course, he had to have a bodyguard, and his name is Christopher Mcnamara. And he's going to be on our show tomorrow! I'm hoping we're going to find out some juicy, behind the scenes information on KISS! (Lord knows, I only really care about learning about Gene Simmons' tongue).

We also welcome back to the show the wacky and wonderful Barry Piotrkowski! Barry considers himself a drug that you wanna try, can't get, and 'aint never gonna find...and if you need to know anything else, just know he RUNS SHIT! And he has a BONER!! Barry produces and hosts the famous Bacon Room at the Lariat in Belmont, California. Every Wednesday, his rambunctious Hump Day Comedy Showcase is a wild place to go party, eat bacon, and enjoy mystery shots. I am proud to call this my "home room" to go hang out and work out my new jokes. Barry also produces and hosts a new comedy showcase at St. James Gate in Belmont. By the way, when Barry arrives on our radio show, there is no way I will correctly pronounce his last name. Know that in advance.
This radio program was ruler of the bay for about 8 to 10 years. During this time they made LIVE 105 KITS in San Francisco what it is today. Every 3 out of 5 people who had their radio on in the bay in the 90′s in AM drive were tuned into Alex and Lori.

Next up, we welcome back the fashionable, funny, and feisty Yayne Abeba to the show!

Yayne Abeba is known for gripping audiences with her tales of growing up as a first generation Ethiopian in America. She found constant humor in the fact that she was growing up in two totally opposite worlds; the old culture of Ethiopia fused with the young and rebelious culture of America. It didn't help that she grew up in San Francisco's Haight Ashbury. Hippies and Habeshas don't mix very well. In 1995, she joined Jean Shelton actor's lab. It was there that she received praise for the role of Denny (an 80 year old white man) in the original production of "Indigo Don't Vote". She was bitten by the comedy bug in 1999 at Tony Spark's Luggage Store. Her style as been described as fresh, innovative, cutting edge and just damn funny! No topic is off limits. It was this refreshing style that got her on Season Two of Last Comic Standing.

And finally, my partner in local crimes, Shanti Charan is back to see us!

Growing up as an Indian American, Shanti Charan possesses a cross-cultural outlook on the hilarities of life. After placing 3rd place in the 2010 San Jose Improv Comedy Competition, she went on to claim 1st place in the 2011 Rooster T Feather’s Comedy Competition. Shanti then received an invitation to compete against 30 comics from all over the country in the 2011 San Francisco International Comedy Competition and placed 7th. Her bubbly personality and contagious smile lure in audiences and keeps them laughing. Shanti has performed at the Punchline (SF and Sacramento), San Jose Improv, Purple Onion, Cobb's Comedy Club, and many more.
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Rob has been based out of Los Angeles since 1992 and spends most of the year on the road, "bringing the funny" to audiences around the world. He tours regularly for the U.S. troops on the Miller Lite "Lite Laffs" program, and his television credits include Comedy Central's "Make Me Laugh" and "Stand-Up, Stand-Up". He is a favorite at the Improv, the Comedy Store, and Catch a Rising Star.

Next up, we welcome Sam Bam to the show!

Next up, San Francisco and LA favorite, Stroy Moyd is back to join us! Stroy hosted the 15-city tour known as “The One Night Stand Tour,” headlined by Bay Area music groups The Pack and The Cataracs, hosted UPN’s “Speak on it,” a local television show for teenagers to make them aware of drugs, violence, sex, etc.. and he’s won a handful of local comedy competitions. Originality means a lot in the entertainment industry. So to stand out from the rest of his fellow comedians, Stroy began making beats and performing hilarious rap songs on stage. “At first I was really nervous to perform funny rap songs because no one has ever done it before, and I didn’t know how the crowd would react.” After he performed his first single “Asian Bitch," the rest was history. Stroy recently relocated to Los Angeles to build a buzz and push his debut comedy album that he wrote, recorded, made the beats, and produced on his own entitled “That’s right, I said it!” available on Itunes.

We also are happy to welcome Daniel Carillo to the show. Daniel is quickly becoming a regular at the San Jose Improv, showcasing his talents in hugely popular showcases such as "Big Al's Big Ass Comedy Show" as well as the "Big, Bad, and Sexy Comedy Tour". Daniel performs all over the South Bay area.

Tune in!

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta
Saturday nights 10 pm - Midnight

www.fccfreeradio.com
(go to Shows---Studio 2b --Saturday--John Miller Program)
www.fccfree.com
www.susanmaletta.com

Can you please put on your banana hammock? He is the creator and host of the syndicated TV series, "The Freedom of Speech Comedy Show" and in 2007, he won the American Idol Underground Comedy Grand Prize being called "the artist to watch". Don was recently voted "One of the top 100 comedians to see" 3 years in a row by Entertainment Business Journal. Barnhart was hand-picked for The Ice House's 50th Anniversary All Star TV Special, been on MTV, Star Search, Evening At The Improv, and has been featured on ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC. Don can also be heard regularly on The Bob and Tom Show and XM/Sirius Satellite Radio.

Don combines his hypnosis, improv, and comedy skills to create Don Bernhart's Comedy Hypnosis Show in Las Vegas, which is one of the most unique and funniest comedy hypnosis shows around the world. The show has been featured on CBS, Good Day Sacramento, ABC, NBC, FOX, Good Morning Northwest, The Perry & Price Show and more. Barnhart also recently wrote, directed and starred in the indie thriller, "China Dolls" and recently completed his first novel, "Freeloader" which is being developed into a feature film which Don will direct and star in. He is also a contributing author on, "I Killed: True Stories of the Road by America's Top Comics" which the N.Y. Times called, "Hilarious" and he's had numerous articles published in newspapers and magazines around the world including iReport.

Next up on the JMP, we welcome back one of our favorite wacky, wild gals...Coree Spencer! Coree Spencer has been doing comedy for 10 years in the form of filmed sketch comedy winning numerous awards for writing and filmmaking. Her sketch “Top Friend” is the 13th most watched video on Myspace of all time. Her sketches have also been featured on the Upright Citizen’s Brigade Comedy website and Funny Or Die MySpace and YouTube. Coree also started and produced one of Portland’s longest running sketch comedy groups, Homeless Corner from 2003-2009 and from there, formed other award winning groups such as Awful Waffle, Ladies Night, and Kobra Kommander, which won Best Film, Best Editor, Best Musical Score and Audience Favorite for the Portland 48 Hour Film Project in 2009.

Coree is a writer, producer, video editor, director, actress, makeup artist and anything else that comes her way. Coree has performed at the John Lovitz Comedy Club at their Up and Comers show in Hollywood, The Las Vegas Comedy Show with Joe Lowers, the Purple Onion in San Francisco, and The Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, Oregon. Coree is a radio personality and contributing interviewer for poprockcandymountain.com’s “Comedian on Comedian,” which is a series of nonsensical video interviews with Sarah Silverman, David Cross, Michael Ian Black, Wyatt Cenac, Hard n’ Phirm, Todd Barry and more. Coree also enjoys Velcro.

And finally, the wacky and wonderful Barry Piotrkowski is joining us!

Tune in!

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta
Saturday nights 10 pm - Midnight

www.fccfreeradio.com
(go to Shows---Studio 2b --Saturday--John Miller Program)
www.fccfree.com
www.susanmaletta.com

Do you have any cajones in your pantalones?
Call in! 415-513-5239 Susan Malettahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03251992254781714015noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-321584726300960348.post-30743176985471670132012-02-23T17:52:00.005-08:002012-02-23T18:10:05.236-08:00The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, Feb. 25Don Lewis Barnhart has directed, assistant directed and stage managed hundreds of network television shows in all formats, including single and multiple cameras, on stage and on locations, featuring book shows, musicals and commercials. His directing credits include, but not all, Mork & Mindy, Benson, Full House, Hardknocks, pilots; Here To Stay and The O'Brians. He also directed 85 episodes of the syndicated series, Comedy Break, multiple episodes of Down To Earth, Safe At Home, Rocky Road, Madam's Place and a three hour live Network show entitled Celebrate America.

He’s also had the privilege of directing eight (8) seasons of the extremely popular NBC Network teen-age series, "Saved By The Bell" (over 200 hundred episodes seen here and in 85 countries during its hey-day and is currently still on the air) plus, three (3) seasons of California Dreams (over 40 episodes).

Also on the show, we have Mike Spiegelman back to see us. Mike Spiegelman hosts the weekly Layover Comedy Night in Downtown Oakland, co-hosts Bad Movie Night at SF's Darkroom Theater, and has opened for David Cross, Emo Phillips, Robin Williams, and the late Mitch Hedberg. He's acted in the SF cult film, "The Snake." His one-man show "Salad Jokes Live" is based on material from his humor website, LuggageTuesdays.com. By the way, it's so funny when Mike hosts at the Layover. Comedians go over their time limit all the time there. Maybe cuz they're drunk, who gives a shit. Anyway, so they ignore Mike's light. So Mike goes and stands almost directly in front of the comedians and just glares at them until they walk off. It's the funniest fuckin' thing ever. So go and see that.

Corie Gipson will also be joining us.

Tune in!

Late Night with John and Susan
Saturday nights 10 pm - Midnight

http://www.fccfreeradio.com/ (go to Shows---Studio 2b --Saturday---Late Night)
http://www.fccfree.com/
http://www.susanmaletta.com/

415-513-5239
Do we need spectacles to see your testicles?Susan Malettahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03251992254781714015noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-321584726300960348.post-9068304873298240992012-02-11T14:44:00.001-08:002012-02-11T15:17:07.185-08:00Late Night with John and Susan, Feb. 11Don't give us none of your aggravation. In the tight-knit, stand-up comedy community of San Francisco, there are only a handful of comedians who love metal music as much as he does. And of those, he’s the only one with stories about crowd surfing in his wheelchair. Jackson is also the co-creator and writer for www.6thcirclecomic.com, which is all about tattoos, metal, and nerdery.

Travis "Too Much" Curry will also be on the show. Travis hosts the "Rude at the Rouge" Comedy Night at Nick's Crispy Tacos in San Francisco on Monday nights.

And finally, Alex White will be joining us. Oh yes. It's time to fire up the BBQ. It's time to grill some hot wienies, consume cold beer, and ROAST JOHN MILLER! Well, not quite yet. But he IS having his 50th Birthday Roast soon, and I AM THE ROAST MASTER!!! This is going down this coming Friday, June 3rd. at 1600 17th Street in SF at 9 pm. Don't miss the slaughter.

Now to kick the holiday off right, we have a sizzling hot show this evening!

He is best known for the Hollywood Report "Limited Access", Recurring Sketches: "Interview with a Dead Guy", "Celebrity Sodium Pentothal", "Wisdom of the Ages, with Ceepak Okra", and "Oblivious Witness to History". In 1990, Phil started writing jokes for Jay Leno & "The Tonight Show" and still to this day writes for Jay.

Next up we have a very interesting fellow.

He refers to himself as the Well-Known Comic. Who is this Well-Known Comic character anyway? He is a candy-coated clown to be laughed at and made a fool of. A joke teller with more one-liners in the pockets of his skinny jeans than his hero Henny Youngman. A true crowd pleaser who teases, tempts, and tantalizes. Chopping down freak-shows at a club near you: he’s well known in Hot Chocolate City. Hot Chocolate City is well known! The whole world not only knows Well-Known, but they are quickly falling into a casually anonymous, long-term, Friends With Giggles-style relationship with the man-child himself. Not unlike the songs of the legendary Joey Ramone and the famous Ramones; hear his jokes once – you’re perplexed. Hear his jokes twice – you’re asking when the next feeding is. Hear his jokes three times and you are hooked! Well-Known’s act was once described by Farrah Fawcett as a manic, super-sonic set of stream-lined funnies. And YES! It is true, he will inject zest into your daily life as he runs around the stage like a crazed lunatic. And NO! He will not warm your heart; but his routine will be etched in your brain like a photograph of your favorite drawing you did on your first Etch-a-Sketch doodle game board.

The Well-Known Comic was born and raised in the UK. In 2005, he emigrated to San Francisco, California, and within weeks of his arrival, this SHOW-BOATING GIGOLO had gone to bed with every kooky gal in that God-forsaken town. Well-Known first exploded on the bay area comedy scene five years ago when, as a under-age stripper/escort at a SF bachelorette party, he was pushed onto the comedy stage by a pack of screaming buxom beauties. Well-known’s radio show “HOT CHOCOLATE CITY” assaults listeners every Tuesday afternoon 2-6 pm on 90.5 fm KSJS in San Jose. He’s on the air because he cares about his coat-tail riders. Well-Known wants you all to know that he loves you very much and he’s got a commitment to your well being. Seriously folks.

And finally we are happy to welcome Mike Spiegelman back to the show.

So go and see that.

Tune in!

Listen to the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta this Saturday night from 8 pm to 11 pm!

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta

Saturday Nights 8 PM - 11 PM

FCCFREE RADIO -- SAN FRANCISCO'S ALTERNATIVE RADIO

On the web at:

http://fccfreeradio.com/
http://fccfree.com/
http://thejohnmillerprogram.com/
http://susanmaletta.com/
http://myspace.com/fccfree
http://youtube.com/fccfree

Call in (415) 513-5239.
Unless your nuts are the size of almonds.
In which case, I shall call you Almond Boy.Susan Malettahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03251992254781714015noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-321584726300960348.post-22089820931964688282011-05-13T13:37:00.000-07:002011-05-13T15:19:10.804-07:00The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, May 14Huge thanks to last week's special appearance by Robert Hawkins the Comedy Genius who tours with Ron White. You can still catch the webcast but hurry up before it goes away. You see, every week the show is recorded and is then available as a downloadable podcast for only one week. If you can't hear us live on Saturday nights, make sure to download the scandalous, uncensored good times to your iPod (or whatever the hell you use to look at porn these days). Go to www.fccfree.com and click "Last Show".

Kurt Weitzmann was also on and was hilarious as usual. Others were on too. I don't know what they were on, but they were on. Oh, and hear me get electrocuted that night during a vicious, evil game. That totally blew. Download that one, you only have one more day until it's gone.

First up, Rob Sherwood makes his debut on our show. Born in Florida, raised in New York, and now living in Las Vegas, Rob's been on the comedy circuit for ten years. Before becoming a comedian, Rob was a drummer (since the age of 11, when he joined a band). Rob also spent many years behind the scenes as a light and sounds technician. This backstage experience gave him a unique comedic insight to show business on the Las Vegas Strip. Rob explores the lighter side of Las Vegas culture (a.k.a. smoking, drinking, and gambling) on stage and appeals to folks all over the country. Rob is also currently working on a TV project called “Comedy Show n’ Tell” for the new Las Vegas Television Network. Rob's talent and ambition have also entered cyberspace with him narrating and dialoguing sports bloopers. Rob's twisted viewpoints are entertaining and popular with all ages.

And, another comedian will be touching our microphones for the very first time....please give it up...for Keon Kobra everybody!! WOOO!! Let him hear it. (Or at least pretend he can hear it.)

Keon Kobra is an Iranian American stand-up comedian from Walnut Creek, California. He performs all over the west coast at clubs such as Rooster T. Feathers. He hosts Keon Kobra's Rock and Roll Comedy Showcase monthly in the East Bay and also hosts the podcast "Kobra's Book Club" where he talks with local comics who write or just funny people who like to talk comedy and books. Keon Kobra's thoughtful yet aggressive filthy comedy is truthful and hits from all angles. His signature KOBRA STRIKE! is more scary and way more funny that it sounds. It's a candy-coated skewering of contemporary society. He has a useless degree in English and isn't afraid to use it.

Next up, we warmly welcome back an extra-special boy who once was a bright-eyed, bushy-assed intern on none other than the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta! That's RIGHT! We're going to have Casey Ley on the show! Casey Ley is a very funny local and touring headliner and comedy radio talk show host. He has toured with Fags and Hags, headlined Live at the Onion Series at the Purple Onion, worked at the San Francisco Punchline, Cobbs Comedy Club, and the Hollywood Improv. Get ready for fun and sexy mayhem with Casey!

And finally, we are thrilled to have the very funny award-winning, British-Asian stand-up Comedian from Birmingham England joining us...Shazia Mirza!!!

Shazia Mirza could have married a rich man and lived in a mansion on The Bishops Avenue, with servants, bidets, and horses. But instead she chose to drive up and down the country for as little as ten pounds, staying in dirty lurid bed and breakfasts trying to make people laugh. She thought of giving up, but no Muslim man wants to marry her, now that’s she’s dabbled in jokes and fingered a few white men on the 38 bus. Shazia Mirza works all over the world and has toured the US, Sweden, Denmark, France Holland, and Germany. She has appeared on CBS 60 Minutes, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and Have I got News for You (BBC). Check her out at www.shaziamirza.org.

Tune in!

Listen to the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta this Saturday night from 8 pm to 11 pm!

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta

Saturday Nights 8 PM - 11 PM

FCCFREE RADIO -- SAN FRANCISCO'S ALTERNATIVE RADIO

On the web at:

http://fccfreeradio.com/
http://fccfree.com/
http://thejohnmillerprogram.com/
http://susanmaletta.com/
http://myspace.com/fccfree
http://youtube.com/fccfree

Call in (415) 513-5239.
Medical professionals agree that it's quite normal for one
testicle to be larger than the other. This is the night of comedy greatness. This is the night of erotic tension and comedic release. This is the night we welcome back our absolute Favorite regular guest on our show...he's a comedy GENIUS (no big deal)...but he's also the object of my private fantasies (kind of a big deal)! We are thrilled to have the wickedly hilarious and incredibly sexy ROBERT HAWKINS back on the show!

Robert Hawkins is an ex-army medic (U.S.) who grew up fast on the sandy beaches of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. "I joined the army because I was 18 and bored with tenth grade". After an honorable discharge from civilian jobs, he took the advice of his friends and tried stand-up comedy for the first time at the Improv in Dallas, Texas. Within four years Hawkins appeared on A&E's "Comedy on the Road" with John Byner and was headlining comedy night clubs across the country as well as colleges and corporate parties. Hawkins moved west to San Francisco and broke into the Bay Area comedy scene with a strong showing in the 1993 San Francisco International Stand-Up Comedy Competition placing ninth out of hundreds. Hawkins recalls, "it was bogus man, I should have been eighth" The next year he went on to win the Fifth Annual Stand-Up Comedy Competition at California State University.

1996 was Robert's break out year with a critically acclaimed appearance on Showtime's "Full Frontal Comedy". In July of 1996 he was invited to perform at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. His performance resulted in a sitcom development deal with Fox television. Robert made his network debut in October 1998 on NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien". A recent magazine article covering Hawkins' stand-up wrote "comics like Robert Hawkins take the art form (stand-up comedy) to new highs and he is worth checking out if he comes to your town."

Chuck Farnham was the radio stunt man of the year in FMQB for his work at Live 105. He attended the funerals of Richard Nixon, Sonny Bono, Buck Owens, and Roy Rogers. He was one of the 3 guys sued for Macplaymate by Playboy. He was in 4 adult films, Blondage, The Dog Walker, Fresh Meat, and The Voyeur. He wrote a book called The Best Mac Deal in the late 1980s. He traveled to 500 Grateful Dead shows, Europe, Alaska, and saw all 15 of the Warfield shows in 1980. He also created the first HyperCard products for Apple Macintosh computer, called "Smutstack".

And next...from San Francisco's wild and hilarious comedy troupe "A Fag, A Hag, and a Drag"...the hilarious and wonderful drag queen extraordinaire Pippi Lovestocking will be coming in! Pippi Lovestocking is a regular on the comedy circuit as well as a cabaret drag singer and entertainer who travels abroad!

Next up...Queer Eye for the Straight Radio Guy and Girl!

Like a virgin, touched for the fifty-third time, professional comedian and muckraker Nate Blanchard will also be joining us! Nate performs all over the San Francisco Bay Area, bringing his charming, delightful gay self to a clubs, colleges, and cocks across the land! He's been winning fans from the queerest to the straightest clubs, and has won me over as a fan from the start. Why? Cuz he's sweet, adorable, funny, and I enjoy him!

Kurt Weitzmann will also be back to reunite with our crazy asses! Kurt's been keeping busy but we're glad to have him back in the studio. Kurt has been performing comedy for over 15 years and his act has been seen on Comedy Central, MTV, and on the stages of every San Francisco comedy club ever to come or go.

Tune in!

Listen to the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta this Saturday night from 8 pm to 11 pm!

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta

Saturday Nights 8 PM - 11 PM

FCCFREE RADIO -- SAN FRANCISCO'S ALTERNATIVE RADIO

On the web at:

http://fccfreeradio.com/
http://fccfree.com/
http://thejohnmillerprogram.com/
http://susanmaletta.com/
http://myspace.com/fccfree
http://youtube.com/fccfree

Call in (415) 513-5239.
Unless your family jewels are made of cubic zirconias...Susan Malettahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03251992254781714015noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-321584726300960348.post-7296228781005330362011-04-25T12:48:00.000-07:002011-04-25T13:01:36.048-07:00The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, April 23We are excited to have San Francisco's own "Dr. Gonzo" joining us. At the height of his career, in the 1980s, he was a headliner. He had audiences all across the country rolling in the aisles. He shared stages with Jerry Seinfeld and Huey Lewis and partied with Joe Walsh and Robin Williams. He showed a young Drew Carey the ropes. Dr. Gonzo still performs comedy and now resides in Mason City, Illinois.

Steve Caminiti was voted Funniest Man in Cincinnati by his peers, Funniest Person in Ohio by Showtime Cable Network, and picked as Best Comedian in Cincinnati by both Cincinnati Magazine and City Beat Magazine. Steve is also a regular visitor on nationally syndicated talk shows, such as Bob & Tom and The Gary Burbank Show, and he was featured in Rolling Stone Magazine’s Comedy Issue. His television appearances include Comedy Central, CBS television’s "48 Hours", Showtime Cable Network, The Nashville Network, A&E, and MTV.

Tony Sparks, known to all in the SF area as the "Father of SF Comedy", is one of the nicest and funniest comedians you can meet. He's also one of the best comedy hosts you could be entertained by. Wonderfully supportive to comics of all levels (newbies to veterans), he helps make stage time available to anyone who wants it. He hosts a hugely popular open mic in the SF bay area, the famed Brain Wash Café in San Francisco. This is where NO ONE gets turned down for stage time. Tony enlists the entire audience, every week, to welcome every new comedian with “A Lot of Love!!!” What? "A LOT OF LOVE!!!!!!" Tony Sparks can also be found performing comedy and hosting shows all over the place, and he produces, promotes, and/or hosts several shows. Check him out Sugaboo...

Ben Kolina got his first experience drawing laughter from strangers in the right-field bleachers of the Oakland Coliseum, at the expense of visiting players. A proud resident of Livermore, California, Ben mounted an unsuccessful campaign for the mayor's office at 18 years of age. (Yes. Ben "mounted". Then was discounted.) Currently 28, a former musician, a former journalism student, and an experienced retail technician; Ben Kolina ate hallucinogenic mushrooms in the woods two summers ago, and decided to do stand-up comedy. Since then, Ben has performed in showcases at Tommy T's and at San Francisco's historic Purple Onion. You can see him this Tuesday, March, 29th at the San Francisco Punchline for Big Al's Big Ass Comedy Show with headliner Casey Ley.

Also stay tuned for the bay area's #1 Insult Comic ...Kaseem Bentley!!!

Tune in!

Listen to the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta this Saturday night from 8 pm to 11 pm!

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta

Saturday Nights 8 PM - 11 PM

FCCFREE RADIO -- SAN FRANCISCO'S ALTERNATIVE RADIO

On the web at:

http://fccfreeradio.com/
http://fccfree.com/
http://thejohnmillerprogram.com/
http://susanmaletta.com/
http://myspace.com/fccfree
http://youtube.com/fccfree

Call in (415) 513-5239.
Don't censor the balls.Susan Malettahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03251992254781714015noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-321584726300960348.post-15610669064572362542011-04-16T10:13:00.000-07:002011-04-16T10:59:37.361-07:00The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, April 16Welcome to another night of tasteless topics, repulsive rants, and seductive stories of social deviance. And comedy talk. Comedy talk about all things tasteless, repulsive, or socially deviant. The mayhem starts at 8 pm tonight.

Always the class clown (and spending most of his formative years in the principal's office), Rob Brackenridge was destined to become a comedian. Born and raised in Wisconsin, Rob has been based out of Los Angeles since 1992 and spends most of the year on the road, "bringing the funny" to audiences around the world. He tours regularly for the U.S. troops on the Miller Lite "Lite Laffs" program, and his television credits include Comedy Central's “Make Me Laugh” and “Stand-Up, Stand-Up”. He is a favorite at the Improv, the Comedy Store, and Catch a Rising Star.

Stuart Thompson is a rising comic in the Bay Area. Currently a student at UC Berkeley, he is the founder of The Alternates Comedy Club, the only stand-up group on campus, a writer for the Heuristic Squelch student satirical magazine, and a quarter-finalist of the 2010 Rooftop National College Comedy Competition. He has performed at historic venues, including Rooster T. Feathers in Sunnyvale; the 142 Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley; The Comedy Store in West Hollywood; and The Purple Onion in San Francisco, where he will be headlining on April 30th. Stuart is well known for his intellectual humor and many impersonations. This combination lends forth an barrage of high-brow comedy full of vibrant stories and unforgettable characters.

Mike Spiegelman hosts the weekly Layover Comedy Night in Downtown Oakland, cohosts Bad Movie Night at SF's Darkroom Theater, and has opened for David Cross, Emo Phillips, Robin Williams, and the late Mitch Hedberg. He's acted in the SF cult film, "The Snake." His one-man show "Salad Jokes Live" is based on material from his humor website, LuggageTuesdays.com. By the way, it's so funny when Mike hosts at the Layover. Comedians go over their time limit all the time there. Maybe cuz their drunk, who gives a shit. Anyway, so they ignore Mike's light. So Mike goes and stands almost directly infront of the comedian and just glares at them until they walk off. It's the funniest fuckin' thing ever. So go and see that.

Ronn Vigh, so-sexy-it’s-difficult-to-not-jump-his-bones-while-he’s-on-stage, brings his unique brand of comedy to clubs, colleges, and airport lavatories all over the world. His brash attitude and acerbic wit have earned him a comparison to a young Joan Rivers by SF Weekly. Well, if she were male, gay, and didn’t shoot Botox by the pound. He was featured on NBC’s Last Comic Standing II and in 2005 founded and still co-produces the successful “Harvey’s Funny Tuesday’s” weekly comedy show at Harvey’s in the Castro District of San Francisco. No stranger to the comedy and alternative scene, he recently hosted Palm Springs Pride, headlined the Lake Tahoe Gay & Lesbian WinterFest, 10th Annual Michigan ComedyFest, and the list goes on and on and on--much like when Ronn speaks.

His one man show, 98 Pounds of Fury, enjoyed a successful run, appeared in the Off-Broadway smash hit 10 Naked Men, recently hosted coverage for the SF GLBT Pride Parade and gained much attention for a controversial off-the-cuff comment about bisexuals. He’s played Joan Rivers at Comedy Noir’s Jesus Roast, a gay Elvis Presley in a Vegas.com commercial, and a science geek in a Magrack ad displayed in NYC subways. Needless to say, he’s versatile (in many ways). He’s been heard on the radio waves and a frequent contributor to shows such as "Fernando & Greg" on Energy 92.7FM, Shake Radio on 960 AM, The Quake and Live 105’s KGAY Weekend in San Francisco. He currently reports, and was featured in, the New York Times for his "Weekly Show" on Vidsf.com. His biggest accomplishment to date: working as a flight attendant and he never smothers any of his passengers with a pillow.

Conor Kellicut started doing theater when he was five years old and started doing stand-up comedy in San Francisco at the age of 21 at The Holy City Zoo. He spent six years honing his skills at open mics and local clubs, quickly becoming a regular at the San Francisco Punchline and Cobb’s Comedy Club, then took second place in the Comedy Central Laugh Riot Semi-Finals. He has worked with Dave Chappelle, Jake Johansen, Dave Attell, Tracy Morgan, Chris Titus, Dana Carvey, Robin Williams, Greg Proops, Arj Barker, Patton Oswald, Greg Giraldo, Jay Mohr, Ralphie May and a bunch of people you have never heard of but are still hilarious! Conor is a regular Headliner at the San Francisco Punchline.

Tune in!

Listen to the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta this Saturday night from 8 pm to 11 pm!

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta

Saturday Nights 8 PM - 11 PM

FCCFREE RADIO -- SAN FRANCISCO'S ALTERNATIVE RADIO

On the web at:

http://fccfreeradio.com/
http://fccfree.com/
http://thejohnmillerprogram.com/
http://susanmaletta.com/
http://myspace.com/fccfree
http://youtube.com/fccfree

Call in (415) 513-5239.
Do your balls hang low?
Do they wobble to and fro?
Can you tie 'em in a knot?
Can you tie 'em in a bow?
Can you throw 'em o'er your shoulder like a regimental soldier
Do your balls hang low?
If so, pick 'em up and call us.Susan Malettahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03251992254781714015noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-321584726300960348.post-16254964887724695002011-03-26T09:37:00.000-07:002011-03-26T10:10:38.562-07:00The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, Mar. 26This rain makes me wet. What about you guys? The best thing about being wet is being inside where it's dry and comfortable. Next to the Internet. Where you can hear John and me be completely retarded and disgusting on the radio. And where you can also hear hilarious celebrity and up-and-coming comedians cutting loose with no content restrictions. And lots of times they are drunk and say outlandish things that reveal their true outlandish natures. Let me tell you something. It makes great radio.

Next up, making his debut to the show, and showcasing some cute-ass dimples. I mean, they're not "ass dimples" really...I mean maybe he has ass dimples, who knows? But I'm sure I will ask him! Ben Kolina's coming to the show!

Then was discounted.) Mike Spiegelman hosts the weekly Layover Comedy Night in Downtown Oakland, cohosts Bad Movie Night at SF's Darkroom Theater, and has opened for David Cross, Emo Phillips, Robin Williams, and the late Mitch Hedberg. He's acted in the SF cult film, "The Snake." His one-man show "Salad Jokes Live" is based on material from his humor website, LuggageTuesdays.com. So Mike goes and stands almost directly infront of the comedian and just glares at them until they walk off. It's the funniest fuckin' thing ever. So go and see that sometime.

And finally...

My funny friend, Melanie O'Brien, who once upon a fun-ass time verbally assaulted a certain Slutty McSlutpants with her razor-sharp wit, is gracing us with her domineering yet oh-so-endearing presence tonight! Melanie, I love you girl.

Melanie O'Brien burst onto the San Francisco comedy scene telling raunchy jokes at venues all over the Bay Area. I consider Melanie a kindred spirit to me in that dirty minds think alike! She's performed at venues such as the Purple Onion, Harveys, and the Dark Room. Melanie also attends law school. People often ask her if she's going to drop out of law school to pursue stand-up, but she likes to think that she can manage them both, as naive as that may be.

Tune in!

Listen to the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta this Saturday night from 8 pm to 11 pm!

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta

Saturday Nights 8 PM - 11 PM

FCCFREE RADIO -- SAN FRANCISCO'S ALTERNATIVE RADIO

On the web at:

http://fccfreeradio.com/
http://fccfree.com/
http://thejohnmillerprogram.com/
http://susanmaletta.com/
http://myspace.com/fccfree
http://youtube.com/fccfree

Call in (415) 513-5239.
Bring a sack lunch. Guess who's agreed to be on the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta this week? Take a guess! GUESS!! Could it be....the one and only...Charlie "Tiger Blood" Sheen? He talks to everyone else, why not us? OK, Ok, we don't really have Charlie Sheen but hey, we DO have John Miller! Close enough? And of course, let's not forget me, Goddess Susan "Cougar Blood" Maletta. Duhh! WINNING!

And who are our magically comical guests this week? DUH! Mike Spiegelman, Patrick McDermott, Justin Harrison, and Kaseem Bentley! We're gonna be here, ready to chat, you're not--you're probably going out on Saturday night and then you'll catch the webcast later, BRING IT. (Sorry, I can't be stopped.)

Comedian Mike Spiegelman hosts the weekly Layover Comedy Night in Downtown Oakland, cohosts Bad Movie Night at SF's Darkroom Theater, and has opened for David Cross, Emo Phillips, Robin Williams, and the late Mitch Hedberg. He's acted in the SF cult film, "The Snake." His one-man show "Salad Jokes Live" is based on material from his humor website, LuggageTuesdays.com.

Patrick McDermott is a bay area comic who began doing stand-up at age 45, after his wife signed him up for an open mic. Since that time, he has developed a style that has been called tight and clean by audience members and fellow comics alike. Patrick has been a semi-finalist in comedy competitions at the San Jose Improv, Rooster T Feathers, Bunjo's Comedy Lounge, and St. Stephen's Green. He has also won Tommy T's weekly open-mic comedy competition. Patrick has performed in showcases at Comedy Off Broadway in Oakland, Bunjo's in Dublin, and has opened for the "Not Dead Yet Comedy Tour."

Justin Harrison started doing comedy about 7 years ago in Peoria, Il. He describes himself as story/rant comic. He hosts and books comedy showcases throughout the San Francisco and East Bay areas. He's been featured at The Purple Onion, Rooster T. Feathers, The Comedy Underground (Seattle), The Comedy Store (Hollywood), Downtown Comedy Club (Los Angeles), The Jukebox Comedy Club (Peoria, Il) and many more.
