The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, August 14

If you don't listen to this week's show, I'm going to grab the station microphone, cuss everybody out, grab two beers, and flamboyantly slide off my chair onto the floor. Which I guess is no different than any other week. So I doubt anyone is gonna call me a hero.

By the way, HUGE thanks to our guests last week who amused us all, including Josef Anolin, Chuck Farnham, Yayne Abeba, and David Wiswell. You can catch the replay by downloading the podcast at www.fccfree.com. Click "Last Show".

So here's the deal. This is NOT the show to miss.

Phil Perrier is a hilarious national touring stand-up comedian and writer for the Jay Leno show as well as the George Lopez show. (Not to mention a regular on the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta!) He started with All Comedy Radio in the spring of 2003 and was syndicated on 37+ stations in the United States, 23+ stations in Canada, and one station in South Africa. He is best known for the Hollywood Report "Limited Access", Recurring Sketches: "Interview with a Dead Guy", "Celebrity Sodium Pentothal", "Wisdom of the Ages, with Ceepak Okra", and "Oblivious Witness to History". In 1990, Phil started writing jokes for Jay Leno & "The Tonight Show" and still to this day writes for Jay.

In 1999, Phil started writing for his first Nationally Syndicated radio show "Bob and Tom's Big Show”. In 2001, he began writing for Martin Short and "The Martin Short Show". Ten years after he started writing for Jay Leno, Phil Perrier also started writing for David Letterman & "The Late Show". Phil still writes for both shows. Phil has also been a columnist for many newspapers including the L.A. Daily News, Washington Times, San Francisco Examiner, Baltimore Sun, Philadelphia Inquirer, Cleveland Plain Dealer, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Birmingham News, JewishWorldReview.com and, last but not least, he was a Staff Writer for the Athens (Ga.) Observer from 1993-2000

What makes this show extra special tonight?

We're having an old friend return to see us who we haven't seen for awhile. And we are very pleased to have him back. We're going to have on someone who we haven't talked to for awhile. We're going to have someone you might not have expected to be here. We're going to welcome back an extra-special boy who once was a bright-eyed, bushy-anussed intern on the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta! That's RIGHT! We're going to have Casey Ley on the show!

Casey Ley is a very funny local and touring headliner and comedy radio talk show host. He has toured with Fags and Hags, headlined Live at the Onion Series at the Purple Onion, worked at the prestigious San Francisco Punchline, Cobbs Comedy Club, and the Hollywood Improv. For the past two years he has also been a part of SF Sketchfest. He is also host of The Morning Show on PirateCat Radio, a weekly talk show focusing on news, current events and the bay area comedy scene. Get ready for fun and sexy mayhem with Casey!

Kurt Weitzmann will also be back to reunite with our crazy asses! Kurt's been keeping busy but we're glad to have him back in the studio. Kurt has been performing comedy for over 15 years and his act has been seen on Comedy Central, MTV, and on the stages of every San Francisco comedy club ever to come or go. Kurt Weitzmann created, edited, and produced the ingenious "SF Weakly", a highly celebrated parody of the SF Weekly, for which he was labeled a comic genius by non other than The SF Weekly. Kurt Weitzmanns comedy sketch album TALENTED is now available on AMERICAN DREAMS RECORDS. Kurt is also the producer of the new hit film "Last Call" and co-creator of the very popular and funny "Jesus Roast" and "Hitler Roast". Kurt is also a regular performer at the SF Punchline.

And finally we're going to have a heart-to-fart chat with Neil Leiberman, The Comedy Coach®. Neil's been around a long time in the comedy scene because...well....he's OLD! Neil Leiberman was a comedian in the seventies and eighties and still performs occasionally for private functions. But being a Comedy Coach® is a full time job, so in 1982 he decided to commit himself to helping other comedians. Neil says, "My goal is to break new ground and help Comedy advance as an art form." He has been coaching comedians, public speakers, actors and screenwriters for close to thirty years. Neil also travels the globe presenting his one-day Stand-Up Comedy Seminar at comedy clubs, corporations, and colleges. Neil has sold two of his screen plays, writes for numerous national headliners, and is co-founder and Sr. Vice President of George Carlin’s Laugh.com, America’s premier comedy record company. Let's hope Neil can stay awake during his segment, because well...he's OLD!
