Hey y'all cowboys, cowgirls, and silly little jackasses...saddle up! Put on your spurs and assless chaps because it's going to be another bumpy and wild ride, Pad'na!
First off, big thanks to our guests last week who put the chuckles behind our buckles, Rob Brackenridge, Phil Perrier, Kurt Weitzmann, Daryus Monday, and Trakk Roberts! Check out the podcast of the show while it's up on www.fccfree.com (Click on "Last Show").
This week on the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, we tip our hats and raise our Coors cans to Nadine Rajabi, Kurt Weitzmann, Charlie Ballard, Eric Cash, and our missing child, David Wiswell.
First up, we welcome the very talented and beautiful Iranian comedian, Nadine Rajabi! Currently, you can watch Nadine on Showtime’s "Hot Tamales Live", "The Skinny: Fat Free News" on MySpace TV and Hulu, and on The National Lampoon College Network where she has her own weekly half-hour show ("XM Underground" and "Press Pass") that syndicates to dorm rooms everywhere. You can also hear her on XM Satellite Radio (channel 154) on National Lampoon Comedy Radio ("Nadine @ Nite") Monday through Friday (6 pm - 9 pm), where she conducts celebrity interviews and shares her pop culture know-it-all-ness to the XM world.
Nadine’s other TV, radio, and writing credits include national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, Daddy’s Girls, TVgasm.com (current), Zazreport (current), weekly celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon (current) and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio (current).
Kurt Weitzmann has been performing comedy for over 15 years and his act has been seen on Comedy Central, MTV, and on the stages of every San Francisco comedy club ever to come or go. Kurt Weitzmann created, edited, and produced the ingenious "SF Weakly", a highly celebrated parody of the SF Weekly, for which he was labeled a comic genius by non other than The SF Weekly. Kurt Weitzmanns comedy sketch album TALENTED is now available on AMERICAN DREAMS RECORDS. Kurt is also the producer of the new hit film "Last Call" and co-creator of the very popular and funny "Jesus Roast" and "Hitler Roast". Kurt is also a regular performer at the SF Punchline.
Every young boy dreams of running away with the circus... but what’s a boy to do if it never comes to town? In his hometown of New Orleans in 1999, at the age of 21, Eric Cash solved that dilemma by forming his own circus. Five years later, he had completed 4 whirlwind U.S. tours, developed over 8 hours of original material, gained quite the bizarre skill set, and racked up multiple film and television credits. From there, he moved to San Francisco to pursue stand-up comedy, as well as developing an hour long street performance that gathers and holds crowds of up to 400 people to this day. He has performed in clubs, colleges, and festivals nationwide, and has appeared on HBO, The Discovery Channel, and MTV. Eric has been featured in an independent documentary, and his exploits have been written about in publications ranging from Hustler Magazine, to Dance Insider (a New York-based ballet and performance review magazine). His stand-up act reflects his life in every detail, driven by boyish charm countered with an angry intellect and a firm sense of the surreal, punctuated with a finely honed set of improvisational skills.
David Wiswell hit the San Francisco comedy scene in 2004. He tied for first place in MTV’s 2005 San Francisco “Yo’ Mama!” Competition. He also reached the finals of the Twisted Sea Biscuit Contest, the Brainwash Comedy Contest, and the San Francisco Comedy Club Competition. With material ranging from his love of children to his hatred of the Pope, David will display an interesting view of morality and logic that will leave you questioning both yours and his.
Charlie Ballard is 35, single, a Taurus, a total bottom but top for the right guy. He's been doing stand up for 6 years and his favorite color is eggplant. He loves long walks in jail and his favorite hobby is counting pigeons. Charlie currently has a very funny promo clip (for Jokes.com) airing on Comedy Central!
Now strap on those boots and get ready to wrangle with some shit-kickers!
Tune in!
