The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, Aug. 29

Million-dollar question: Which male comedian who was on our last show had his penis pierced?

Find out by listening to our last show's podcast, available now (only until this Saturday when our next show airs on www.fccfree.com. Click "Last Show").

Bumps and grinds to all of our guests to made us laugh 'til our jaws ached, our eyes popped, and our genitals inverted! Thank you Kevin Munroe, Nadine Rajabi, Kelly McCarron, Mary Van Note, Thomas Smith, Dr. Brian King, and Lindsay Blaz! (Find out who is pierced down there. Might be more than one person!)

Hallebooyah! This weekend John and I take a break from the show to have a life!

I will be at Planet Gemini in Monterey this weekend then heading down to LA, and while I'm doin' it to it on stage, John will be doing his thing running FCCFREERADIO 107.3 FM and hopefully de-stressing and getting some good relaxation!

This Saturday night, John will re-broadcast a very spicy and hilarious compilation of some of his favorite shows (and mine)! Be sure to tune in and catch The Best of the John Miller with Susan Maletta, which will feature our dear friends, regular guests, and cohorts in crime, Nadine Rajabi, Damon Williams, Phil Perrier, Kato Kaelin, Kurt Weitzmann, and Rob Brackenridge!

Now put your head back and say "Ahhhhh..." so I can stick somethin' in there.

Tune in!

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, Aug. 22

Well, it's Back to School week and we sympathize with your plight--school sucks ass! So what do you do? Well...you have options. You can put your nose to the grindstone and do your personal best, you can escape the boredom and/or pressure by getting wasted at lunch time, you can simply drop out, or, for those with slightly more ambition, you can always come get schooled by Veteran Juvenile Delinquents through a "special' on-air, alternative Continuation School, called The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta!

But a word to the not-so-wise! Any non-listeners will be severely punished by Professor Miller and Lunch Lady Maletta with skin-stinging spankings, hours and hours of mind-numbing detention, and disturbing images administered via endless dick and anal sex jokes. Are you ready to fill out the paperwork? Great!

First up, we welcome the very talented and beautiful Iranian comedian, Nadine Rajabi! Currently, you can watch Nadine on Showtime’s "Hot Tamales Live", "The Skinny: Fat Free News" on MySpace TV and Hulu, and on The National Lampoon College Network where she has her own weekly half-hour show ("XM Underground" and "Press Pass") that syndicates to dorm rooms everywhere. You can also hear her on XM Satellite Radio (channel 154) on National Lampoon Comedy Radio ("Nadine @ Nite") Monday through Friday (6 pm - 9 pm), where she conducts celebrity interviews and shares her pop culture know-it-all-ness to the XM world.

Nadine’s other TV, radio, and writing credits include national commercials, talking head roles on E! Entertainment, The Sunny Side of The Truth: Real World Hollywood, Daddy’s Girls, TVgasm.com (current), Zazreport (current), weekly celebrity interviews on Mania TV, a weekly half-hour television show that syndicates to colleges across the country for National Lampoon (current) and a nightly radio show on XM Satellite Radio (current).

Trevor Hill is a semi-talented stand-up comedian from Santa Cruz, California. He's funny in the wrong kind of way. For those who have never personally witnessed his "comedy" act, he mostly does impressions of homosexual celebrities and various baryard animals with a few dick jokes sprinkled in between. Some people do laugh at Trevor's shitty jokes, but so people drink their own urine too. If you like Trevor Hill, well I guess that kinda makes you a piss-guzzler.

Mary Van Note is a stand-up comedienne of the weird variety. She performs at colleges, clubs, and festivals across the country and she is the creator and star of the award winning Independent Film Channel web series, The Mary Van Note Show: Gavin Really Wants Me. The San Francisco Bay Guardian called her a “Zine-Queen Comedian” as she regularly makes zines, crafts, and mini-comics. Her specialties are stick-figures and cross-stitch. "A Gracie Allen for the new millennium, Van Note's comedic styling is truly unique, as she combines elements of raunchy slapstick with charmingly innocent self-deprecation." - Flypmedia.com. "Kaufman-esque." - The Sound of Young America. "A true crowd pleaser." - Ian Brill.

Tom Smith is a respected member of the San Francisco comedy community regularly featuring at local shows and clubs. He is a writer, producer, and actor in the sketch comedy troupe '5x5', a founding member of the stand-up comedy troupe The Stand-Up Project and an instructor at the San Francisco Comedy College. He’s known for smart, crisp joke writing and delivery as well as an easygoing demeanor as he lays out his never ending and always defeated attempts to get through life with dignity. If you’re a prematurely bald overweight failed poet living in Oakland, CA who thinks your cell phone carrier is out to kill you; Tom is a comedian who’s singing your song. If you like to laugh at a prematurely bald overweight failed poet living in Oakland, CA who thinks his cell phone carrier is out to kill him/her, there might be something wrong with you, but check his shows out anyway.

Kelly McCarron
's comedy career started in high school when she began writing comedic monologues for her drama class. The most popular was a reoccurring character: a girl who did what she wanted no matter how much of an outsider it made her. After high school, Kelly gave college the old college try and left after one year. Spending most of her time writing and missing the stage, Kelly stumbled upon stand-up comedy in the spring of 2007 at the tender and impressionable young age of 20. Kelly has been doing stand-up ever since. Now as Kelly grows up, she takes a playful view on the very important lesson of finding your true self. (She hopes that her true self is skinny.)

Hung Lee will also be joining us. Hung...will be joining us. Hung. That's a hell of a name! Hung! That's gotta be the most envied name a guy could have, am I right fellas?! Hung grew up in both Vietnam and Australia, he is a children's book author, a violinist, an actor, and a stand-up comedian all wrapped up into one hung package. Hung Lee has been in Wog Boy, the Fat Pizza movie, True Love and Chaos, and Sensitive New Age Killer. His first children's book, Barry Noodles and Da Killer Bs is about a Vietnamese kid who sets up a "footy" team (I guess that's Australian for soccer or something) for all the kids at his school who don't get picked. They start a competition called Kung Footy with all the kids who don't get picked at other schools.

Dr. Brian King will also be joining us on the show! Dr. Brian is a local comedian who hosts the wildly popular "Wharf Room Comedy Stand-Up Showcase" at Castagnola's in San Francisco.

Now get yourself some new shoes, a dapper new haircut, and pack up that backpack with supplies..but don't forget to put the Coors in the outside pocket otherwise you might get your weed all wet.

Tune in!

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, Aug. 15

August is meant for all things HOT and SIZZLING... like steak fajitas, America's Best Dance Crew, Britney Spears' new herpes sores....and...The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta! Tonight...

Damon Williams is a Chicago-based comedian who has made numerous television appearances such as BET's Comic View (annually since '94) including his own one hour special. He's been featured on BET LIVE and most recently hosted several episodes of the legendary Showtime at the Apollo, formerly hosted by TV star Steve Harvey. In 1999 Damon performed for over 300,000 fans as the opening act for the highly successful Kings of Comedy Tour establishing him as one of the elite Comics in the nation. Damon was chosen to attend The Us Comedy Arts festival in Aspen (Feb 2000). In the summer of 2000, Damon headlined the Cedric the Entertainer Comedy Revue. Damon is a crowd favorite on the club and concert circuit and is currently on the Black Comedy Tour consisting of over 30 colleges and universities. His material is universal and there's something for all ages. His popularity has provided him the opportunity to work with some of the biggest stars in the business. Some of these stars include Aretha Franklin, Pattie Labelle, Luther Vandross, Ray Charles, Harry Belafonte, Chris Rock and even Little Richard.

The monthly comedy shows he produced for the past two years at the House of Blues came about after one appearance on the Jenny Jones Show. He was contracted to write, perform, and produce over 50 episodes. His starring role in the hit musical comedy tour "Laughin' on the Outside Cryin' on the Inside" generated standing ovations every performance. And finally, Damon maintains his weekly comedy showcase at B'n'J's in Matteson IL and often opens for the hit sketch comedy team "Forgotten City" at Second City a star on the rise his motto is "Don't Stop and Don't Quit." We are definately excited to have Damon Williams on our show!

Next up on the JMP, we are happy to have Jabari Davis and Tony Sparks on the show!

OK I am stoked. My friend and the hilarious comedian Jabari Davis is coming on the show! Jabari CRACKS ME UP!!! I recently watched Jabari host the Roast of Tony Sparks, and I was absolutely blown away by how naturally funny he is as a comedian, roast master, and improviser. Also he is just a genuinely nice guy and fun person to hang out with. (And a lot of comedians are dicks, so that is saying something!) Jabari Davis is a hilarious LA-native comedian who performs at all the hottest shows in the area including Raw Comedy Night at Poleng Lounge, Speech Therapy at Il Pirata, King Pin Comedy, and Live at Deluxe at Club Deluxe. "This young comic is taking San Francisco by storm - a talent not to be overlooked." -- Tony Sparks, Father of SF Comedy.

Tony Sparks is lovingly known as the "Father of SF Comedy", as he is responsible for much of this comedy madness in San Francisco and in Oakland. Tony hosts the Speech Therapy comedy showcase at Il Pirata on the first Friday of the month. He also hosts Comedy & More at the SF Playhouse Sundays, and the Thursday open mic at the Brain Wash. Tony Sparks is one of the nicest and funniest comedians you can meet. He's also one of the best comedy hosts you could be entertained by. Wonderfully supportive to comics of all levels (newbies to veterans), he helps make stage time available to anyone who wants it. Tony Sparks is a class act when it comes to professionalism, supporting the comedy community, and bringing non-stop laughs and fun to us all.

Finally we bring you two of the funniest, dirtiest, most deranged minds (next to mine) in the bay area...Lisa Myers and Daymon Ferguson!

Growing up, comedian Lisa Myers stood out as the oddball in a sea of flannel shirts and John Deere caps the small coastal town she grew up in. Born into a community of Scandinavians and hillbillies, she ran screaming for the big city as soon as she was able. On her path, the mouthy kid blossomed into a fully functioning funny broad. Part trucker, part pin-up girl, Lisa’s in-your-face comedy stretches the audience to the limits of taboo and perception, quickly establishing that she is not your typical “lady comic”. Whether she’s performing to a crowd of 10 or 10,000, her sardonic personality and less-than-demure attitude emerge on stage with attention grabbing and thought provoking humor. Having tackled venues from Seattle to Hollywood, and having recently performed alongside Robin Williams, Lisa is now sharing her act with most places in-between.

Daymon Ferguson hails from Hell. Or rather, Chico California, where he was born into a white trash tradition that he’s been trying to escape ever since. High school brought the impetus Daymon needed to become a comedian—he announced to his tenth grade drama teacher that he would one day become a stand-up comic. He got right on that, too. A mere twenty years later, here he is! But first he had to take care of a few other careers—Daymon has been a diesel truck mechanic, pizza delivery guy, forklift mechanic, waiter, racecar driver, ditch digger, exotic dancers’ bodyguard, and lawyer. All of which have helped prepare him for a career standing up in front of a bunch of people, telling dick jokes. Six years of work as a lawyer have taught Daymon to truly despise lawyers. Since making the decision to quit law for comedy, he’s started to feel his soul growing back. It kind of itches. When he’s not in front of a jury or worse, a crowded comedy club, Daymon likes to tempt the fates that have let him live for the last 35 years. He flies small planes, scuba dives, and pretends to be a medieval warrior by putting on 50 pounds of plate metal and running around in the blazing sun getting hit by big men with sticks. He is also an actor, a half-assed guitar player, and an avid wine connoisseur. (But please don’t call him a wine geek—he prefers the far more dignified “cork dork.”) He’ll pay $100 for a bottle of wine. But in beer he is true to his white trash roots—he refuses to spend more than $6 on a 12-pack. Daymon lives in San Jose, California with his lovely wife and baby daughter, his dog, three cats, some fish, and a bunch of fussy, demanding, and emotionally abusive houseplants.

Now then. Slip into something uncomfortable. Tune in!

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, Aug. 8

Hey y'all cowboys, cowgirls, and silly little jackasses...saddle up! Put on your spurs and assless chaps because it's going to be another bumpy and wild ride, Pad'na!

First off, big thanks to our guests last week who put the chuckles behind our buckles, Rob Brackenridge, Phil Perrier, Kurt Weitzmann, Daryus Monday, and Trakk Roberts! Check out the podcast of the show while it's up on www.fccfree.com (Click on "Last Show").

This week on the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, we tip our hats and raise our Coors cans to Nadine Rajabi, Kurt Weitzmann, Charlie Ballard, Eric Cash, and our missing child, David Wiswell.

Kurt Weitzmann has been performing comedy for over 15 years and his act has been seen on Comedy Central, MTV, and on the stages of every San Francisco comedy club ever to come or go. Kurt Weitzmann created, edited, and produced the ingenious "SF Weakly", a highly celebrated parody of the SF Weekly, for which he was labeled a comic genius by non other than The SF Weekly. Kurt Weitzmanns comedy sketch album TALENTED is now available on AMERICAN DREAMS RECORDS. Kurt is also the producer of the new hit film "Last Call" and co-creator of the very popular and funny "Jesus Roast" and "Hitler Roast". Kurt is also a regular performer at the SF Punchline.

Every young boy dreams of running away with the circus... but what’s a boy to do if it never comes to town? In his hometown of New Orleans in 1999, at the age of 21, Eric Cash solved that dilemma by forming his own circus. Five years later, he had completed 4 whirlwind U.S. tours, developed over 8 hours of original material, gained quite the bizarre skill set, and racked up multiple film and television credits. From there, he moved to San Francisco to pursue stand-up comedy, as well as developing an hour long street performance that gathers and holds crowds of up to 400 people to this day. He has performed in clubs, colleges, and festivals nationwide, and has appeared on HBO, The Discovery Channel, and MTV. Eric has been featured in an independent documentary, and his exploits have been written about in publications ranging from Hustler Magazine, to Dance Insider (a New York-based ballet and performance review magazine). His stand-up act reflects his life in every detail, driven by boyish charm countered with an angry intellect and a firm sense of the surreal, punctuated with a finely honed set of improvisational skills.

David Wiswell
hit the San Francisco comedy scene in 2004. He tied for first place in MTV’s 2005 San Francisco “Yo’ Mama!” Competition. He also reached the finals of the Twisted Sea Biscuit Contest, the Brainwash Comedy Contest, and the San Francisco Comedy Club Competition. With material ranging from his love of children to his hatred of the Pope, David will display an interesting view of morality and logic that will leave you questioning both yours and his.

Charlie Ballard is 35, single, a Taurus, a total bottom but top for the right guy. He's been doing stand up for 6 years and his favorite color is eggplant. He loves long walks in jail and his favorite hobby is counting pigeons. Charlie currently has a very funny promo clip (for Jokes.com) airing on Comedy Central!

Now strap on those boots and get ready to wrangle with some shit-kickers!
