Do you want to know if you spent your time wisely last Saturday night? Take a close look at your radio. Is it sticky? No? Then you obviously didn’t hear the whole radio show.
Download the hotness and hilarity of our last show before it goes away. It was a wonderful night hanging out with John O'Connell, David Wiswell, Coree Spencer, Tony Sparks, and Kaseem Bentley (www.fccfree.com, "Last Show"). Our guests made us laugh so hard our cheeks hurt! (Our faces were pretty sore too.)
Burtis Cutler (A.K.A. "The World's Shortest Redneck") has stocked up his trailer and packed up his cooler with dozens of fishing lines and dozens more punch lines. He's so funny he makes us spit foamy Coors out of our noses! Wonderfully delightful and down-to-earth, expect a lot of laughs from Burtis Cutler as he shares with us many hilarious tales from life in the south.
Dr. Brian King is a comedian who also is a psychologist specializing in Human Sexuality, which always makes for some hilarious and sizzling conversation! Dr Brian has led many research projects, written papers, and presented at national conferences regarding his research on s-e-x. Hell, they even let him teach college a few times. He is not a therapist or counselor, but he is an opinionated smart-ass with regular access to a computer. He is also a fan of hip-hop, vodka martinis, and girls that wear skirts in the winter. Oh, and comedy. Dr Brian likes to think he's a comedian. Dr. Brian also produces the wildly popular Wharf Room Comedy Stand-Up Showcase at Castagnola's in San Francisco.
Kevin Avery's high-energy brand of stand up has brought him to the finals of the San Francisco International Comedy Competition and earned him a spot on Metropolitan Magazines list of Top 99 People to Watch. A regular opener for Dave Chappelle and David Alan Grier, Kevin has become a nationwide comedy club favorite in his own right, and is also one half of the comic radio duo "Siskel and Negro." Of his animated style of stand up comedy and storytelling, the San Francisco Chronicle writes Avery is Amazing!
W. Kamau Bell understands even more than most comedians that timing is everything. Waaaaaaaaaaaay back in 2005 he appeared on Comedy Central and told his joke about the strangely named junior senator from Illinois and his chances of becoming America’s first black president. (Apparently not every good according to Kamau.) Comedy Central later announced that Kamau had told the very first joke about Barack Obama. For this, Kamau was named on that network’s list of Best 100 Obama Moments. Comedy Central also invited Kamau to perform his critically acclaimed solo show, The W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About an Hour, at their theater in Hollywood. Time Out New York said, “Happily, Bell finds comic gold in the wide range of material he mines, offering provocative insights into an ugly reality. FOUR STARS” The San Francisco Weekly honored Kamau as the Comedian of the Year in 2008 and also profiled him in a cover story in 2009.
And that’s not everything. Kamau has appeared at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, where he was the only comedian to perform at both the New Faces Show and Best of The Uptown Comics. Kamau spent two years appearing regularly on radio station Live 105 as half of the movie review team Siskel & Negro. (Kamau is Negro.) The duo can still be heard online at their podcast at Roof Top Comedy. And in addition to Comedy Central, Kamau’s other TV appearances include Comics Unleashed, KQED’s Spark, ABC’s View From The Bay, and Filter on G4. And since 2007, Kamau has been regularly performing his hit solo show. Most recently he performed it at The 2009 New York International Fringe Festival. But Kamau is most proud of co-founding The Solo Performance Workshop (2005), a school for emerging artists. As a writer, Kamau is featured in the book What Would Bill Hicks Say?
Kamau has been profiled in several different newspapers, including four seperate occasions in The San Francisco Chronicle — even once (not ironically) during Black History Month. The San Francisco Weekly called Kamau “smart, stylish, and very much in the mold of politically outspoken comedians like Dave Chappelle and Margaret Cho” — though he was more excited that they called him “handsome.”
Now put your head back and say "Ahhhhh..." so I can stick somethin' in there.

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, Jan. 16
Next to Kim Kardashian’s fat ass... we are the bay area’s GUILTIEST PLEASURE and we are on TONIGHT baby! Yep, with a lot of junk in our trunk so let's get crunk! Why? Because tonight is a special night. Tonight we celebrate the birthday of FCCFREERADIO, so Happy Birthday to us! We thank all of our past comedian guests and our current radio show hosts and co-hosts because you have helped make the station the huge success it is today.
Check this out, dear listeners of deviant comedy radio, this Saturday night and every Saturday night, we feature and promote comedians from the bay area and all throughout the country. We select only the most talented, hilarious stand-ups, from up-and-comers to national touring headliners. Many of our comedians have been on TV, radio, movies, and in local bars getting smashed off their funny asses.
We are also free from the FCC. That means no rules, no constraints, no guidelines, no censorship, no political correctness, no impulse control, and no regard for social etiquette. We are party-friendly, potty-mouth-affectionate, and sexually repressed so we like to live vicariously through our guests.
Speaking of guests...
John O'Connell is a nationally-touring stand-up comedian from Austin, Texas and an original member of Ron White's Texas Hill Country Comedy Writers. He's written several films including the winner of 2008's ABFF Best Film award "The Abduction of Jesse Bookman" and the indie thriller "Pineapple" in which he also co-starred.
David Wiswell hit the San Francisco comedy scene in 2004. He tied for first place in MTV’s 2005 San Francisco “Yo’ Mama!” Competition. He also reached the finals of the Twisted Sea Biscuit Contest, the Brainwash Comedy Contest, and the San Francisco Comedy Club Competition. With material ranging from his love of children to his hatred of the Pope, David will display an interesting view of morality and logic that will leave you questioning both yours and his.
Next up on the JMP, our favorite regulars are coming in the studio, Tony Sparks and Kaseem Bentley! Kaseem is the Bay Area's number one insult comic and Tony Sparks, known to all in the SF area as the Father of SF Comedy, is one of the nicest and funniest comedians you can meet. He's also one of the best comedy hosts you could be entertained by. Wonderfully supportive to comics of all levels (newbies to veterans), he helps make stage time available to anyone who wants it. Tony Sparks is a class act when it comes to professionalism, supporting the comedy community, and bringing non-stop laughs and fun to us all.
Tony hosts a hugely popular open mic in the SF bay area, the famed Brain Wash Café in San Francisco. This is where NO ONE gets turned down for stage time. Tony enlists the entire audience, every week, to welcome every new comedian with “A Lot of Love!!!” What? "A LOT OF LOVE!!!!!!" Tony Sparks can also be found performing comedy and hosting shows all over the place, and he produces, promotes, and/or hosts several shows including Speech Therapy Comedy at Il Pirata, All-Star Comedy and More at The SF Playhouse, Street Legal Comedy at Pissed Off Pete's, and Raw Comedy Night at Poleng Lounge.
And finally, closing out the show we have Drew Pult! Drew is just a funny-ass cripple trying to take the ramp to the top. An elevator would work too, just no stairs. He has the ambition of a young Bill Gates and the mobility of a young redwood. Drew Pult does stand-up in a wheelchair. Now THAT'S funny! Drew is a regular headliner at Tommy T's Comedy Club as well as many other venues throughout the Bay Area and also is co-host of the hot new comedy talk radio show Antithesis Radio, which airs on Friday nights at 10 PM on our home station, FCCFREERADIO, 107.3 FM in San Francisco.
Now hurry up, we're running out of time...go and eat your dinner, rub one out, whatever it is you do before you settle in for the night, then turn on your radio or Internet and get ready for more wild, raunchy, and deliciously fun comedy talk radio!

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, Jan. 9
Tonight is an incredible show with an awesome line-up of insanely talented (and in some cases, insane) comedians. (Yeah we know. What's new?) Our combination of celebrity guests, local outstanding performers, and NO CONTENT RESTRICTIONS make the John Miller Program with Susan Maletta the most deliciously fun comedy talk radio show to be on in the whole fuckin' world. Get it? Wonderful.
By the way, you still have time to catch the replay of last week's sizzling, scandalous, and salacious show. Go to www.fccfree.com and click on "Last Show" before it goes away!
Steve Booth has had a varied career in stand-up, television, and film. His commercials include "Free Doritos – Snow globe throwing office worker," which was voted Superbowl XLIII’s NUMBER ONE COMMERCIAL by USA Today, MSNBC and YouTube, "Get More Heinz – Big Kid," a Herbert Brothers Production, and "Duct Tape – Duct Taped Roomate," a Doritos Crash The Superbowl Finalist that aired on Comedy Central, MTV, and G4. Steve was host of 17 episodes of XLTV, which aired on UPN for two seasons. He was also a featured performer on Uncut. Steve also appeared on SplatterFactor as comic relief interviewing paintball players and fans. This show aired for one season on FOXSPORTS. Steve has also had numerous small spots in music videos, local commercials, and appearances as a local personality.
Steve was also a featured comedian in the South of Sanity Stand-Up Comedy Tour, was a Finalist in Jerry Springer’s Funniest Fan Contest, and was a featured comedian in Laughter From The Homefront – a DVD for troops in Iraq. He has done hundreds of performances at comedy clubs, colleges, corporations, and theaters across the midwest. He is currently the Director of Nacho Mamas Comedy, and has been in the Wit’s End Comedy Troupe, Trespassers Only Improv Comedy, and Friday Night Live. Steve also taught improv and acting workshops at Xavier University and for corporate sales/brand/team building. Steve has authored a book and DVD series entitled Improv Games for Groups. He was also author and performer on House of Bugs, a 10-song children’s music CD, and he was author and performer for a 12-song comedy album entitled “Screwed, Blued, and Tattooed”. Steve Booth was also a celebrity judge at the Oxford International Film Festival.
Carolé Acuña has performed stand-up comedy on the east and west coasts of the United States and also in Sevilla, Spain! She is very animated, expressive, physical, and has an original comedic style. Much of her subject matter encompasses anything from raw food dieting to Narwhals. Much of Carolé's movement has some naturally expressive body positioning since she has been formally dancing since the age of five and is a fifth generation dancer in her family. The comedic juices flow through her mind and soul into to the audience's spleen. Carolé consistently performs in showcases all around the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. "Acuña expertly raises one eyebrow and with her chin up, she balances on a three-inch stiletto heel. Suddenly, the comedienne slumps, lowering her foot and eyebrow simultaneously as she delivers her punchline on stage in front of a laughing audience." ... Janice De Jesus, Performing Arts Critic, Contra Costa Times.
Simone Campbell has been keeping people laughing with her rapid-fire wit and in-your-face approach. Legendary lesbian comic, Karen Ripley describes her as "exciting, energetic, full of life. She warms the audience up to each other. Not an easy thing to do. Killer smile." Simone performs all over the San Francisco bay area at places such as Harveys, the Russian River Inn, and the White Horse Inn.
As a child, Jason Downs would sneak away in the middle of the night to watch The Tonight Show. Jason's dreams would come true after graduating San Francisco State University with $30,000 of debt and no job skills. Beginning his comedy career in San Francisco, Jason has become among the best comics in the bay area. Like his influences, Eddie Murphy and Sam Kinison, Jason draws his material from his personal life. While on stage, Jason shares his dramatic and outrageous stories with the audience. A unique likeability allows Jason to confess his greatest flaws in an original, aggressive, and hilarious act. A good heart and a bad mouth allows Jason to share his story of a know-it-all who knows nothing.
New York City native, Jeff Applebaum examines his life experiences, which include being the only white kid on his Little League team in Queens, having a Chinese wife who orders from take-out menus in fluent Mandarin, and raising a pre-teen son who calls himself “Jewnese,” because he says it sounds better than “Chine-ish.” Jeff recently made his national TV debut on CBS as a comedian on the "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson." Jeff also played the principal role of Joey Bishop in the long-running musical tribute "The Rat Pack Is Back," in San Francisco, Chicago, and Las Vegas. Jeff is also credited and appears in the blockbuster film "The Pursuit of Happyness," starring Will Smith. Jeff has been entertaining people all around North America for over 12 years, including audiences of more than 10,000 people at the ARCO Arena (in Sacramento) and the Anaheim Convention Center. Jeff won the "Comedian of the Year - 2003" in the SF Bay Area Cabaret Competition.
Now go put on your bath robe and leave it slightly open in the front.

The John Miller Program with Susan Maletta, Jan. 2
This is it. Tonight we're gonna party like it's 2010 baby! You want to hear about our New Year's Resolutions? Hey. New Year's Resolutions--Shmoo Year's Shmesolutions. Tonight, however, we do resolve to bring you some of the wackiest comedians this side of Shman Francisco!
Ronn Vigh, so-sexy-it’s-difficult-to-not-jump-his-bones-while-he’s-on-stage, brings his unique brand of comedy to clubs, colleges, and airport lavatories all over the world. His brash attitude and acerbic wit have earned him a comparison to a young Joan Rivers by SF Weekly. Well, if she were male, gay, and didn’t shoot Botox by the pound. He was featured on NBC’s Last Comic Standing II and in 2005 founded and still co-produces the successful “Harvey’s Funny Tuesday’s” weekly comedy show at Harvey’s in the Castro District of San Francisco. No stranger to the comedy and alternative scene, he recently hosted Palm Springs Pride, headlined the Lake Tahoe Gay & Lesbian WinterFest, 10th Annual Michigan ComedyFest, and the list goes on and on and on--much like when Ronn speaks.
His one man show, 98 Pounds of Fury, enjoyed a successful run, appeared in the Off-Broadway smash hit 10 Naked Men, recently hosted coverage for the SF GLBT Pride Parade and gained much attention for a controversial off-the-cuff comment about bisexuals. He’s played Joan Rivers at Comedy Noir’s Jesus Roast, a gay Elvis Presley in a Vegas.com commercial, and a science geek in a Magrack ad displayed in NYC subways. Needless to say, he’s versatile (in many ways). He’s been heard on the radio waves and a frequent contributor to shows such as "Fernando & Greg" on Energy 92.7FM, Shake Radio on 960 AM, The Quake and Live 105’s KGAY Weekend in San Francisco. He currently reports, and was featured in, the New York Times for his "Weekly Show" on Vidsf.com. His biggest accomplishment to date: working as a flight attendant and he never smothers any of his passengers with a pillow.
Kelly McCarron's comedy career started in high school when she began writing comedic monologues for her drama class. The most popular of which was a reoccurring character: a girl who did what she wanted no matter how much of an outsider it made her. After high school, Kelly gave college the old college try and left after one year. Spending most of her time writing and missing the stage, Kelly stumbled upon stand-up comedy in the spring of 2007 at the tender and impressionable young age of 20. Kelly has been doing stand-up ever since. Now as Kelly grows up, she takes a playful view on the very important lesson of finding your true self. (She hopes that her true self is skinny.)
Now go and get yourself a nice juicy cheeseburger, fries, and beer, because you know and I know that you're not going to stay on this silly new diet for long. What's it going to be a month? Two months tops?
Might as well start enjoying yourself now. Don't worry, you'll get plenty of exercise laughing your fat asses off later on tonight.
